Crispy chicken piled onto a Belgian waffle, topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with raspberry, chocolate, and caramel. A little powdered sugar to finish it off, because why stop there?

8 NIGHTS SOBER. ❤️ One day at a time.

As most of you know, alcohol has been a struggle in my life for a very long time. I started drinking when I was 19, and honestly, I don’t know if I’ve ever gone an entire month without drinking. Seven days was usually about as far as I would make it.

Well… I made it past 7.

Tonight marks 8 nights sober. And that might not sound like a long time to some people, but for me, it’s a pretty damn big deal.

It’s time for Jefe to put down the bottle and get back to focusing on the things that actually matter — life, the business, bettering myself, being better for the people around me, and doing more for the community.

I’m sharing this publicly because I want to hold myself accountable. If you see me out, see me at an event, see me working, or just happen to cross paths with me, know that I’m working on becoming a better version of myself — and a sober version of myself.

I have absolutely nothing against anyone who drinks. Have your b**r. Enjoy your cocktail. Raise a glass with your friends. I’ll still be right there laughing and having a good time with you.

I’ve just finally realized that alcohol isn’t something I can have in my life anymore.

I’m not doing this for attention. I’m not doing it for praise. I’m doing it because I want more out of this life, and I know I’m capable of more.

So here’s to waking up clear-headed. Here’s to building something I’m proud of. Here’s to being a better friend, businessman, and human being.

And most importantly, here’s to making it past day 7.
