Hazel is your new Mutt Mayor. She took the crown today at Montezuma Park, wore it like she was born in it, and has already made zero campaign promises she intends to keep. Naps are up. Squirrels are on notice.
Even better, you beautiful people raised $4,319 for For Pets' Sake.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, voted, sipped, and brought a dog who behaved slightly better than expected. Thank you to Doctor Bucket, Ben, and all 29 candidates who ran a clean race and only sniffed each other a normal amount.
Thank you to DuWest Wines, our Official Wine Partner and the reason nobody was thirsty. And our mocktails held their own out there, so shout out to the designated drivers, the not-drinking-today crowd, and everyone who just wanted something cold and delicious in a park full of dogs.
