💜💛💚A HEARTFELT UPDATE FROM BAYOU TECHE JAMBALAYA 💜💛💚
We want to take a moment to apologize to everyone who has been waiting for us to pop up around town and serve you some good Cajun food. We truly appreciate all the messages, support, and excitement you’ve shown us. It means more to us than you know. 🥹💜💛💚
Unfortunately, we’ve learned that we cannot simply set up our tent in a business parking lot and cook and sell food unless it is part of an approved event with the proper temporary permit. At this time, the Health Department does not have a temporary permit option that allows us to do regular parking-lot setups outside of an approved event.
As much as we would love to just pull up, fire up the pots, and start serving our community, we have to do things the right way. We care about our customers, our business, and making sure everything we serve is done safely and legally.
This isn’t a “giving up” moment for us. 💜💛💚It’s just another bump in the road.
We are working hard behind the scenes to get our food trailer fully permitted and ready to roll, and we cannot wait for the day we can officially bring Bayou Teche Jambalaya to you wherever we are allowed to set up! 🚐🔥🍲
Thank you for being patient with us, for understanding, and most of all, for believing in our little dream. Every share, order, visit, kind word, and encouraging message has helped us keep pushing forward.
