NICHOLAS PATRICK "PAT" WILLIAMS
Nicholas Patrick Williams, (Pat) age 78, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, with his wife, best friend, his dog Ringo (Star) and a cat he rescued as a very small kitten 17 years ago, Zuko by his side. He is the son of Nicholas and Hanna (Stack) Williams. Born in Conneaut, Ohio, August 14, 1948, and graduated from Conneaut High School in 1966.
Pat was Conneaut’s biggest cheerleader. He started his career in journalism right out of high school at the Conneaut News Herald becoming the editor there for many years. Then he started the Hometown News with the backing of several Conneaut businessmen, just so Conneaut could have their own newspaper. From there he became the editor of the Conneaut Courier for many years again bringing Conneaut their own newspaper. He then went on to WWOW radio with his very popular morning show. After that he started Conneaut AM Live at Greatwave Communications where he had many co-hosts, guests, and businesses on the show. He helped many people and organizations with getting their messages out. He then retired in 2016 and the town missed him, he still wanted the scoop on everything going on…kept in touch with the many friends he had made over his 50 plus years in the business. He was a stickler for the facts, and he was the best at communicating with people. Everybody loved Pat Williams. He was fair to everyone. He will be missed by all, especially his family.
He is leaving behind his wife of 32 years, Michelle (Saturday) Williams, sisters and brother in laws Cheryl and Mike Allshouse of Conneaut and Debbie and Nick Pape of Tennessee, nephew Michael Allshouse and his family, wife Adriana and their children Ava, Sophie and Ethan of Colorado, niece Nicole Bryant and her family, husband Craig and their children Cadon, Brix and Adalee of Alabama, sister in law and brother in law Becky and Jim Packer.
Passing on before him were his parents and son Stephen Patrick Williams in 2019, which now they will be able to watch the Browns games together again.
He was an avid fan of the Browns, Guardians and the Cavs. Always saying I’m done with these teams but there we were, watching them every time they came on.
Pat was a musician in his younger years starting and playing in a couple bands with his friends, where he was a great songwriter, singer and guitarist, making several 45 records.
Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut is in charge of arrangements. No calling hours will be observed, as Pat didn’t like going to calling hours.
Contributions in Pat's memory may be made to Conneaut Rescue Squad or Conneaut Police K9 Fund
A Celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the Conneaut Elks Lodge, 63 Parrish Road, Conneaut.
