It seems like we can't catch a break anywhere we turn. Two weeks ago, The Pizza Porch received a visit from code enforcement, and we were told by the city that we could no longer continue operating. The Pizza Porch was required to shut down, and we are now closed to the public. We are no longer accepting orders or selling pizzas. We’ll still fire up the grill occasionally for friends and family, because that's how all of this started. This was never a big operation, just a hobby we loved. That's what makes this so disheartening. It feels unfair, and it's difficult not to feel singled out when we see other small stands continuing to operate. We're truly sorry to anyone who wanted to try one of our pizzas but never got the chance. And to everyone who did order, shared our posts, told a friend, or simply cheered us on, thank you . It's honestly incredible to think we were only public for about six weeks, yet we built this amazing little community and are closing on a high note, with nearly a thousand followers. For now, The Pizza Porch is closed to the public, but making pizza was a hobby long before the name, and that part isn't going anywhere.
