“Just firestop it.”

If only it were that simple.

When a drywall opening is large enough to resemble a window, there is only so much mineral wool can accomplish.

No framing. Oversized openings. Multiple banks of conduit. And mineral wool that rarely wants to stay in place without proper support.

A familiar scenario in firestopping work.

The firestop contractor is often the last trade to address a pe*******on, but we cannot correct deficiencies that occur before we arrive.

At Fire-Seal, we do not simply fill openings and assume compliance. We evaluate the condition, identify the appropriate tested system, and coordinate with other trades to achieve a compliant installation.

Because ultimately:

“Add more sealant” is not a UL system.
