Starting to put together our prizes for the chili cook-off this Thursday. Here's a little sneak peak of a few things I gathered today around town, more to come tomorrow and Makers On Main Street is engraving a little surprise for each basket or should I say casserole dish because who needs another basket!

Good morning friends, I've been getting lots of messages and thought I better update everyone. Got dad settled into Garden place but he is taking most of my time as we navigate our new normal. I'm dealing with some very serious issues that needs my immediate attention. Dad is fine, it's just a long story and if you talked to me I'm very open about what happened.
I'm still taking special orders and have never or will never cancel any pre-booked orders.
The sad part is the market has been put on the back burner at the moment. I will however be back next week and it's our chili cook-off.

I apologize for not being able to attend the market but I have to listen to my heart and do best for my family at the moment.
I'm making a batch of Focaccia bread Thursday and with a large amount of special orders this weekend I'll be posting any extras available for Friday or Saturday morning pick-up.
Thank you all for your understanding, support and reaching out to check on dad. Throw back picture as Matt and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary Sunday. He is the man behind the scenes who makes everything possible plus still finds the time to do whatever he can for my dad!

A friendly reminder that I will not be at the market this week. I have been moving my dad this week, throw in a sick visit to the Dr for josie yesterday, but I'll end the day Friday setting up a beautiful dessert bar for cousin Annie!
Last Saturday I was so honored to supply tasty treats for Juniper + Sage Aesthetics - Waterloo, IL five year anniversary party and so happy to watch them grow from the beginning!
Then Josie and I set up a dessert bar at Old Monroe. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Minor!

Good morning my friends. This post maybe a bit long but stay with me.
Back on June 15th things unfortunately changed in my life with one of my biggest fans, my dad. I have been dealing with him, my bakery, running the market and being a mom!
Got my dad out of the hospital and into a nursing home for rehab where he was diagnosed with dementia. I have seen this coming for years but I've dealt with it on a day-to-day basis.
I have spent the last few month's getting things in order and let me tell you it's not an easy task.
Monday I will be moving furniture and setting him up in a warm cozy one bedroom apartment at Garden Place. He believes this to be temporary as he wants to go back to his house. The house his parents built that he grew up in from the age of 9. So this is truly very hard!
With this I have to take a step back from my bakery, my dream that I truly love and is my job. Unfortunately I can't do my job 100% when I'm being pulled away at a moments notice. If you have an order placed or we have been talking you are good, I just can't squeeze any large orders in for the next few months. If time allows watch for pop-ups as I still need income.
Sorry for the deep dive into my very personal life but I felt the need to explain why I have been MIA this summer. You are truly the best customers a girl could ask for and what doesn't break me will make me stronger or that's what I keep tell myself.
I will see you all back at the market September 10th.
