With a

background in Marketing and corporate experience in Marketing and Special Events, I was always either working with graphic designers or part of the design process. When I created all of the materials for our wedding, my husband keep urging me to start a side business, but I always knew that this work could never be "just" a side business. When my daughter was turning 2, I was only freelance consultant at the time and after designing all of her party items, my shop was born. Never in a million years did I think my little "side" business would become my very busy and thriving full time business! Being able to stay at home with my kids has been a wonderful experience and challenging at the same time with a shop that's open 24/7. I always seem to manage to find the time to juggle both home life and the 150-200 clients per month that I service. I absolutely love designing and creating items, especially knowing that my pieces are making other people's events even more special. I have a zillion more ideas in my head and not enough time to list them all! i love chatting with my customers, so give me a shout!

I found a vintage 4X Beaver Stetson hat at the Goodwill bins - an item I could list on eBay for $399! And then….I got home and noticed a card tucked into the brim. Full name and address. This hat was so important to him that he had a “return to owner” card just in case. So I looked him up.

What a legacy! 24 years of service. Decorated Air Force officer. Two wars. Two Purple Hearts. He was even an engineer on the Apollo and other shuttle programs. And a French Legion of Honor recipient - he most likely received this for being integral in the liberation of France during WWII.

His name was Lt. Col. Ralph D. McKee. He lived mainly in Rockledge FL. Nashville family members were listed as granddaughter, Shannon E. Hill (Gregory); great-granddaughters, Blair Alexandra Hill, Holland McKee Hill; great-grandson, Gregory H. Hill, Jr.

Now I have to decide: sell the hat or find his family. It feels like this hat belongs back with his family.

Share and repost this video and hopefully one of the family members will see it.

Follow along - Part 2 coming soon.

Things nobody tells you about your 40s:

1️⃣Your energy is a budget, not a bank. You can’t run on fumes like you did at 25. Sleep and rest start to matter more than hustle.
2️⃣Friendships need effort now. They don’t just happen anymore. You have to plan them, like a meeting. And then, you have to actually show up.
3️⃣You stop caring what people think, and it’s a relief. Somewhere in your 40s the noise gets quieter. You just care less about being liked by everyone.
4️⃣Your body sends you notes. Little aches. Random changes. It’s your body asking for attention, not falling apart.
5️⃣You finally know what you want. Your 20s and 30s were about figuring it out. Your 40s are about actually doing it.

If you’re an American that gets to go to one of the remaining World Cup games, here are 3 things you must know before going. It’s not like the Super Bowl where you can just “be” there. Pick a side and make sure you’re representing! The Argentina vs Egypt game was incredible and so much fun!

The unpack-immediately-or-slowly-lose-your-mind pipeline is real.

I’m really good for the first 20 minutes. Shoes off, toiletries put away, maybe get the laundry going - all in all, looking very together. Then the ADHD shows up and that suitcase lives in the corner for days while I just… walk around it.

Tell me I’m not alone. Drop a 1 if you unpack immediately and a 2 if you’re still finding socks from your last trip.
