🍂 The Forge Market is Coming to Clifton Forge.

There’s something special about small towns.

We know our neighbors. We value hard work. We appreciate the hands that grow our food, bake our bread, build with wood, create beautiful art, and keep Appalachian traditions alive.

This fall, we’re excited to bring those people together under one roof.

We’re inviting farmers, bakers, artists, woodworkers, seamstresses, makers, crafters, and small businesses from across the Alleghany Highlands to become part of The Forge Market—a curated indoor marketplace held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Whether you’re from Clifton Forge, Covington, Iron Gate, Low Moor, Eagle Rock, Lexington, Buena Vista, Bath County, or anywhere in between, we’d love to welcome you.

We’re also inviting our community to come shop local, meet the people behind the products, and help build something that supports the families and businesses that make this region so special.

Vendor spaces are intentionally limited, with 30 Founding Vendor spaces available for our inaugural season.

If you’re interested in becoming a vendor, or know someone who should be, send us a message.

📢 A Quick Reminder!

As a reminder, Lyrik’s has been closed on Mondays. We’re excited to share that we’re expanding our hours!

Starting tomorrow, our hours will be:
☕ Tuesday – Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Then, starting the following week, we’ll be open:
☕ Monday – Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM permanently.

The only exceptions will be for our planned evening events, which we’ll announce in advance.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today. Your support, kind words, and encouragement meant more than you know. 🫂

We truly value your feedback and are excited to share some of the plans we have for the future. Since opening our doors, this journey has come with its share of challenges. Owning a small, family-owned business isn’t always easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding because of the community we’ve built together. 🚂

To everyone who continues to show us grace, love, and unwavering support—thank you. Today was one of our best sales days in months, and after yesterday, it was exactly the encouragement we needed. It reminded us why we started Lyrik’s in the first place.

We are dedicated to improving every single day, listening to our community, and letting our actions speak for themselves. We know not everyone will believe in our journey, but we’re committed to proving—through consistency, transparency, and hard work—what Lyrik’s is capable of becoming.

We’ve also received several emails, and we want you to know that we’re taking the time to thoughtfully read and respond to each one. Thank you to everyone who reached out with ideas, suggestions, and encouragement. We truly appreciate those who want to help us grow, and we’re excited to continue building something special together.

We can’t control everything that comes our way, but we can promise to give our very best to the things we can control. We’ll keep learning, growing, and creating a space that our community is proud to call its own.

Sometimes the best way to move forward is to step away from the noise.

We took a break from social media to refocus, recharge, and pour our energy into what matters most—serving our community and building something truly special.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes on exciting new ideas, and we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunities and blessings that continue to come our way. We can’t wait to share what’s next with our community.

A heartfelt thank you to the Town of Clifton Forge for its continued support and efforts to showcase everything our town has to offer. We’ve been fortunate to welcome visitors from across the country—and even around the world—and we’re honored to be a stop on their journey.

We may be new. We may be small. But we’re proud to have become a destination in Clifton Forge. To everyone who has made us part of their visit, left a kind review, shared a recommendation, or simply walked through our doors—thank you. We see every review, every kind word, and every show of support, and we are genuinely grateful.

To our Lyriks Cafe family,

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for your patience over the past month. We’ve been closed more than usual while balancing travel, family time, and having our son with us for the summer — moments that mean a lot to us.

Like many small businesses, we’ve also had to work through some unexpected challenges behind the scenes, including switching internet service providers after ongoing service issues created disruptions for us. It has taken some extra time and effort, but we're putting the pieces in place to make sure we come back stronger and provide a better experience moving forward.

We truly appreciate every message, every check-in, and everyone who has continued supporting us through the ups and downs. Your support means more than you know.

We will be introducing new flavored coffee roasted specifically for Lyrik’s by none other than Clifton’s own Old Dog Coffee. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

The store will operate Monday - Sat 9am - 5pm All Summer.

The wait is finally over! We’ve been watching everyone enjoy the Smith Creek Trail and getting the shop ready, and we are officially OPENING OUR DOORS tomorrow! Whether you’re heading out to the creek to see if the fish are biting or planning a weekend trek through the Alleghany Highlands, we’ve got everything you need to gear up:

Live Bait: Fresh minnows, nightcrawlers, and a variety of other baits to help you land the big one.

Camping Gear: Tents, cots, cozy blankets, and backpacks for your next overnight adventure.

Apparel & Footwear: Stay comfortable on the trail with our selection of shoes and outdoor apparel.

Trail Essentials: Hiking sticks for the rugged paths and fishing licenses available right here in-store!

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has checked in on us this past week. We’ve been closed while handling some maintenance at the shop and tending to a few personal family matters—your support truly means a lot to us.
