Patricia Dennison, owner of Palmer Place Fine Teas has happy childhood memories of drinking black tea heavy with sugar and milk with her Scottish grandmother. "When she would say ‘Put the kettle on,’ my mom, sister, aunts and cousins would gather around the kitchen table for what we knew would be a time of laughter, singing and storytelling." When she left the corporate world to
raise children she became chair of a fundraising tea party with her church. During that time, she read everything she could about tea. That’s when she began to realize she could turn her passion for tea into a career. In the early 2010s Patricia operated No. 10 Palmer Place Tea Room in Painesville, OH. Today, reinvented as Palmer Place Fine Teas, she focuses strictly on tea education, creating proprietary blends and sourcing tea and botanicals. She has completed coursework at the World Tea Expo, The Specialty Tea Institute & The World Tea Academy, achieving certifications as a Tea Professional, Tea Sommelier, & Tea Blender. Palmer Place Fine Teas and botanicals are sourced from reputable wholesalers who have passed USFDA regulations. Many of the tea estates provide organic ingredients, are fair trade certified and practice sustainable gardening. The Palmer Place assortment consists of over 70 varieties of carefully selected loose leaf tea & tisanes, including proprietary blends as well as customer favorites from No. 10.
