For the past 2½ years, Laura has been an incredible part of our Khepri AP team as our Chef. She brings heart + care to every dish that comes out of our scratch kitchen making guests feel at home.

What they love most about Khepri?
Her teammates. 🤎

Laura loves cooking + connecting with people. When she’s not in the kitchen, you’ll usually find her with a great book and a cup of coffee.

Since 2022, Jake has grown through every position at Khepri, + today proudly runs our Albany Park shop as Albany Park Manager. Jake plays a huge role in creating the welcoming, community-focused space our guests know + love.

When Jake isn’t at Khepri, he’s touring full-time across the U.S. with his band, .band. Between tours, you’ll find him journaling, painting, reading + going on long walks.

There’s something special about gathering around food + nature 🌿

This past weekend, our Odd Produce foraging events in Albany Park + Mt. Prospect brought together neighbors, new friends + curious minds to explore what’s growing right in our own communities.

Each event starts with a guided foraging walk, followed by a seasonal multi-course dinner featuring the ingredients we gather together.

Every month is a new season, new flavors + a new way to connect.

Meet Lizzy ❤️

For the past 5 years, Lizzy has worn just about every hat across both Khepri locations but works now primarily at Khepri MTP — her main role being Events Collaborations, Merchandise Buyer + Retail Manager.
She has been such a huge part of helping shape the heart of our space.

What they love most about Khepri?
Meeting all the wonderful people in our community + working alongside amazing coffee lovers + artists.

Since January 2026, Maddie has been a wonderful part of our Khepri AP team as a barista + food prep.

What they love most about Khepri?
“The customers are so sweet. It’s nice to see the same faces coming in and forming relationships.”

Outside of the café
Maddie has been practicing her art skills through classes at + a student of the healing arts for the past 8 years.

Her journey includes yoga, massage therapy + shiatsu. Thai massage is next up on her list ✨
