Earlean Mayo was well known for her cakes throughout the entire community. The church commumnity especially enjoyed Earlean’s delicious pies, cakes, and irresistible treats. Whenever there was a celebration, Earlean’s baked goods were always an anticipated treat. Erica secretly started calling her grandmother, “grandma gourmet!”
In 2009, Erica and her mom were convinced to share their family’s magical baking talent with the community-at-large. Erica never thought about opening a business; and she never thought she could bake like her grandma. The magic however must be in the family genes because Erica has just as many people calling her about her pies as her grandmother had for her cakes. So, in the fall of 2010, Erica’s mom helped her open the doors of “Erica’s Sweet’s”. In fact, many of Erica’s frequent customers have been enjoying Mayo baked goods since childhood. Now, along with their own children, Erica’s family tradition continues.
