As you know, we feed nearly 200 families every month from our location at Harlem and Armitage. For the holidays, we put together additional baskets for families in need around Chicagoland for Thanksgiving and the December holidays.
We survive on the support of our friends and neighbors, so I am reaching out to you for help. We are an all volunteer operation - no one involved gets paid for their efforts. Unlike many of the larger organizations out there which can sometimes spend as much as 90% of their donations on operation costs and salaries, every dime we raise goes straight towards funding our charitable work. We need help funding these meals, making sure those in need can have the food they need for their families.
For $47, you can sponsor a basket of food that will provide not only a holiday dinner for a needy family but also additional food that will last a family over two weeks. We are a 501(c)3 organization, so any donation you make is 100% tax deductible. We accept donations of any size (every dollar helps) at our website www.feedchicago.org.
