It's National Macaroni Day! What's your favorite way to have this pasta?
Dear Mac and Cheese People,
If someone serves dried out baked Mac and Cheese, they failed to understand the purpose of baking Mac and cheese.
If the cheese is clumpy, the cook didn't do their job well. They did not give the béchamel sauce time to unify with the cheese.
If the pasta is dried out it, it means the pasta was not resting in a pool of cheesy béchamel.
You must bake Mac and Cheese to marry the flavors, bring unity to the texture, and offer the eater an experience of joy.
Anything less than this standard is a failure.
Boxed Mac and Cheese must be banished.
Dried Mac and Cheese is an abominable.
Crockpot Mac and cheese is an imposter.
Crispy bacon is always an acceptable topping — even for vegans.
