The ladies from the Centennial Social Club hosted a farewell 'no-host coffee event' at the Mt. View Bake Inn Brew Cafe for Helen Wolfe today who will be moving to California at the end of the week. It was nice to visit with the ladies who attended and bid farewell to a truly impressive lady.

A reminder that Sat June 1 will be our last day open due to a myriad of life changes that have popped up for our family in the recent past.

In addition, we will close at NOON on Friday to attend the homeschool graduation ceremony for Trinity in Cheyenne. All who have gotten to know Trinity and would like to congratulate her, we are hosting a simple graduation party on Sat, June 1 from 4:30-6:30 at the Mountain View Historic Hotel & Cafe, Centennial WY. Stop in, say hi, and grab a bite to eat. We'll be serving coffee, Italian Sodas, and tasty desserts too.

Mud Season is coming to a close so the Mt. View Bake Inn Brew Cafe is open Mon-Sat 7am-2pm this week and next.
May 20-June 1.

However, we are sad to announce, that June 1 will be our last day.

This was a tremendous adventure.
An opportunity we are so glad we seized.

But, life often has many twists and turns that lead us on a new trajectory.

Our girls are of the age where they need to get 'paying jobs' as they prepare for college expenses. One is graduating next week and plans to spend 3 weeks at leadership training before starting college in the fall; another has an opportunity to participate in archeological digs this summer; leaving the cafe understaffed and we do not have the budget to hire anyone.

My dad's Frontotemporal Dementia is rapidly progressing and my need to travel to Ohio is most likely going to increase. It's not sound business sense to randomly close up your business for weeks at a time. As his primary POA that is potentially what would need to happen.

Not to mention, the amount of hours it takes to run a family-owned/operated cafe is astronomical. I LOVED almost every aspect of it. I had no idea how much I'd like the 'hospitality/restaurant' business. However, this is just not the season for us to continue this venture.

We have loved getting to know our 'regulars' and the stories of the travelers passing through. We love our community and we aren't going anywhere. We hope to keep in touch with those we now call friends.
The girls may be knocking on local business doors looking for employment now that they aren't 'chained' to the cafe doors.

Thank you, Centennial for the warm welcome as we launched our little coffee/bake shop which quickly turned into a breakfast/lunch cafe.

It was a fun, albeit short ride!

We are hopeful to offer some 'pop-up' food opportunities in the future. Parties; specified pre-order dates/times for burritos/dutch babies/cinnamon rolls; maybe some small catering gigs. We're still in the planning phase for such ideas.

Due to illness in our household, we have made the decision to close the Mt. View Bake Inn Brew Cafe this upcoming week - May 13-19. We were planning to be open Mon-Wed only due to traveling at the end of the week, but we do not want to risk getting others ill.

We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

We plan to re-open on May 20 with our usual hours. Mon-Sat 7am-2pm.
We will be launching our 'Summer Menu' in early June. Stop by and see what's new!

Hello local friends and family - once again.

We found a cute little high-top bistro table/chair set and another high-top round table for the inside seating at the cafe. However, we are now in need of 2-4 30in 'bar height' type chairs to go with that 2nd round table.

Once again - the budget is minimal as we are still in the 'expensive hobby' phase with the cafe - considering our slow mud season - but we realize free might be a stretch too.

If you see or have bar-height chairs (we'd prefer chairs to stools due to comfort level) please ping me.
