Since I was 14 I have been baking cakes and making different cookies, brownies, and desserts for all occasions. I made birthday cakes, cakes for baby showers, dessert platters for church, sold baked goods in a basket at school, pretty much everything I could do to get myself out there and get practice. I took classes in highschool also to help me get better at what I loved to do. Recently I have g
one through some struggles and been busy dealing with life, but now I'm starting to get back. I have slowly been redefiniing my skills and strengthening my love once again for what it is I want to do. I am no pro yet, but I definitely will be someday and I am going to do what it takes to get there. I work 40 hours a week and am soon going to start going back to school and taking online classes so I will be busy. But I once again want to start contracting out my skills by baking and decorating cakes for events, birthdays, work events, and other occasions as well as baked good trays for events, holidays, and gifts. I won't be able to take on too heavy of a load but I need to begin to practice again and the only way I'm going to be able to do that is by getting started once again. I'm going to begin checking ingredient and product cost again (since things have definitely increased in price in the two years since I've been out of the 'business') and begin coming up with packages and a regulated list of products available. It's going to take time but it's something I'm going to get back up and running. Once I get back into the swing of things, it'll all fall back into place.
