Setting the Record Straight: A Big Announcement from Everlasting Life (Elife)! 💚🌱
Before the rumors get out of hand, since I know the trailer has only been parked outside for 30 minutes and the grapevine is already moving, let me bring some total clarity to what’s going on.
As many of you know, our doors have been closed since June. Throughout this time, I’ve continued to support several of our dedicated employees out of pocket. With no regular income coming in and expenses mounting, staying afloat, especially with winter right around the corner has been challenging, to say the least.
To address these needs, I made the strategic decision to invest in a food trailer ahead of our other upcoming expenses. This allows us to get back to work sooner! In fact, we are almost set to prepare our classic Mac & Cheese, Collard Greens, Drumsticks, and more so we can start serving full, warm meals.
Why now? Because YOU asked for it!
Everywhere I go—the grocery store, the mall, the gym, the DMV line, and even public restrooms—people stop me to ask: "When is Elife opening back up?!" I honestly didn't realize just how many lives we’ve touched. So many regular customers have shared that since we closed, their health metrics (blood pressure, blood sugar, weight) are moving in the wrong direction. People miss having clean, wholesome food they can trust to keep them healthy.
And I’ve even been threatened! An 80-year-old customer told me she was going to come down and give me a whooping if we didn't open soon! 😅
I am listening to your demands, supporting my employees, and honoring my calling.
Here’s the full truth about the trailer:
Where did it come from? This evening, I drove up to Pennsylvania, to pick up a food trailer from Gangster Vegan, as they are closing out their operations there
The Clarification: Gangster Vegan is not taking over Elife, Elife is not becoming Gangster Vegan, and we did not buy their business. We simply purchased their trailer.
The Bonus: Because it comes from a vegan business, we don't have to worry about deep-sanitizing it from animal products! It just needs a good clean-up, various electrical, plumbing, structural repairs and a fresh rebrand.
