CAMPANIA (Reformation Pkwy, Canton)
Inspection Date: 10/13/26
Inspection Type: Routine
Score: 50
Violations Noted:
• The certified food safety manager failed to demonstrate adequate oversight of food safety practices. Inspectors documented multiple critical violations with the potential to cause serious foodborne illness. (4 points)
• Employees handled ready-to-eat food with bare hands at the bar. A bartender also handled cash, credit cards, and dirty dishes without washing hands before handling food. A drink was served before corrective action could be taken. (9 points)
• Raw ground beef was stored in the same container as deli meats, with meat juices pooling at the bottom. Raw eggs were stored above ready-to-eat foods, and raw shrimp was stored above cooked chicken. Contaminated foods were discarded, and remaining items were rearranged. (9 points)
• Food debris was observed on the front and back of a deli slicer. The slicer was cleaned during the inspection. (4 points, repeat)
• The bar dishwasher was not dispensing chlorine sanitizer. The machine was primed, and all bar glassware was rewashed. (4 points)
• The sanitizer dispenser at the three-compartment sink was not working, leaving sanitizer buckets at 0 ppm. The dispenser was adjusted, and all buckets were replaced with properly mixed sanitizer. (4 points)
• Six knives were stored between a preparation sink and the wall instead of in a sanitary location. The knives were washed and moved to a knife strip. (4 points)
• Feta cheese was being held at 59°F because its container was stacked above another container rather than positioned properly inside the refrigerated prep unit. The feta was discarded. (9 points)
• Butter held without temperature control reached its four-hour discard deadline. The butter was discarded at 4 PM as required. (9 points, repeat)
• Several temperature-controlled foods prepared on previous days were stored without required date labels in prep coolers and the walk-in cooler. The affected foods were discarded. (4 points)
• Pomodoro and Alfredo sauces were cooling in large, deep, covered containers inside the walk-in cooler, preventing effective cooling. Both were moved to ice baths. (3 points)
• A bottle of Caesar dressing was stored directly inside a pan of lettuce, and a piping bag of ricotta cheese was stored directly in food at the pizza station. Both items were removed. (3 points)
• An employee was preparing food without a hair restraint, and at least four employees with beards longer than half an inch were handling food without beard guards. The violation was not corrected because the required restraints were unavailable. (3 points)
• Significant mold-like buildup was observed on food storage shelves inside the walk-in cooler. Cleaning was required. (1 point)
Inspection scores may not equal the total point deductions listed because multiple violations within the same category may only be deducted once, and repeat violations may carry additional weight.
All scores come directly from the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH).
