Wimpy's Roadside Diner Wimpy’s Roadside Diner was built in honor of our dad. As a kid, he got the nickname Wimpy for his love of burgers.

Brian and I are proud to carry that name forward, one great burger at a time.

🎬 Does our food truck look familiar? 🎥

There is a good chance you've seen her before...and not just around town. She actually had a role in the latest Superman movie!

Before converting her into a food truck, she was part of the filming right here in Cleveland. We bought her from a car collector who provides vehicles for movies filmed in Ohio and surrounding states. That's why it has that sleek gunmetal gray paint.

But don't get too attached..she's about to get a whole new look! We have a fun 1950s diner-inspired wrap coming soon!

Want to meet our little star before her makeover? Stop by and see us at the Ohio City Food Truck Festival Friday and Saturday. We would love to serve you and let you see the truck before its next starring role.

Welcome to Wimpy’s Roadside Diner.

This food truck started with a family story.

Our dad was nicknamed “Wimpy” when he was a kid because he loved hamburgers. He passed away in 1999, but the name stayed with our family. When my brother Brian and I started talking about opening a food truck together, Wimpy’s felt like the right name.

It honors our dad, fits the food we want to serve, and gives us the chance to build something personal.

Our goal is simple: serve fresh, made-to-order food inspired by the roadside diners we grew up with.

Smash burgers will be the main attraction, along with griddled hot dogs, fries, loaded fries, tots, grilled cheese, house sauces, and a few other diner favorites.

Wimpy’s is built around a 1950s roadside diner theme, but the food will have its own personality. Fresh beef. Hot griddles. Crispy edges. Good portions. No frozen patties and no shortcuts.

Getting this truck ready has taken longer than expected. We have dealt with delays, repairs, inspections, equipment issues, and plenty of lessons along the way. It has not been an easy process, but we are finally here.

The truck wrap will be coming soon, and we are excited to see the full vision come together.

We will use this page to share menu updates, event locations, behind-the-scenes photos, and everything happening as we get Wimpy’s on the road.
