🍂🤎 **A BEAUTIFUL EVENING CELEBRATING THE OZBUNS!** 🤎🍂

Last night, we had the pleasure of catering a beautiful wedding celebration for the Ozbun’s, and we are so grateful to have been a part of such a special day! 🥂💍

From the savory bites to the fresh fruit displays, homemade touches, and delicious comfort food, every detail was put together with love. We wanted the food to look just as beautiful as it tasted, creating a spread that was inviting, warm, and worthy of celebrating such a special occasion.

There is something truly special about being trusted to help feed the people gathered to celebrate two people beginning their next chapter together. ❤️

To the Ozbun, family, thank you for allowing us to be part of your celebration and trusting us with your catering. We wish you a lifetime filled with love, laughter, happiness, and countless beautiful memories!

✨ **Need catering for your next wedding, family gathering, corporate event, or special occasion?**

Thank you all for booking our calendar solid for October and you’ve nearly booked us out for November as well! Keep those reservations coming, and those drop off catering orders as well!

We’re loving the cooler temps which means we can be more active, now if the price of fuel would get back down to a realistic range we could do even more street vending.

Hang in there grubby crew, we’re all in this together. Sending you love and blessings.

Someone told me, **“You might as well go ahead and sell that food truck.”**

😂 Well… let me explain something.

It’s expensive to pull that pink trailer out of the driveway.

Before we even leave the house, we already know we’re spending money on:

⛽ Fuel
🥩 Food
👩‍🍳 Labor
📦 Supplies
🧾 Insurance
💰 And all the other lovely little expenses that apparently reproduce overnight.

And here’s the kicker: **we don’t know if we’re getting that money back.**

We can spend hundreds of dollars getting stocked, fueled, staffed and set up… only to have a slow day and not even break even.

We could sell enough to *look* busy and still lose money.

Or we could have a great day and actually turn a profit.

**It’s a gamble every single time we pull out of that driveway.**

So sometimes, the smartest business decision is actually **leaving it parked.**

We have other jobs. Jobs where we show up, work our hours and KNOW we’re getting a paycheck. The bills come every month like clockwork—so having dependable income matters.

With fuel pushing **over $5 a gallon** and food costs continuing to climb, we’re choosing our battles.

That doesn’t mean GRUB662 is done.

It doesn’t mean we’re selling.

It means we’re being **strategic.**

We’re focusing on guaranteed events where we know our minimum sales are covered. When we pull out for those events, anything we make above that base is essentially a bonus to our household income.

And honestly? **We’re not the only food truck dealing with this.**

We’re friends with a lot of food truck owners, and we hear the same stories over and over. The cost of doing business has changed dramatically, and we have to change with it.

We’re also not willing to sacrifice the quality of what we serve just to make the numbers look prettier.

Our ground beef is already costing us around **$10 a pound.**

That means when you order one of our burgers, you’re getting quality, farm-to-table beef. We source as much locally as we can because freshness and quality matter to us.

Could we buy cheaper product?

Sure.

**But that’s not the business we want to build.**

We want to serve you the best food we can, even if that means our margins aren't what they used to be.

So no… **we’re not selling the food truck.**

We’re just learning when it makes sense to turn the key.

Sometimes the most profitable thing you can do is **not spend money trying to make money.**

And sometimes, the truck sitting in the driveway is actually the smarter business decision.

At the end of the day:

**Mind the business that pays YOU, not mine.**

Because trust me…

**Mine isn’t paying you. 😂**

And I’ll decide when it pays me.

GRUB662 isn’t going anywhere. We’re just learning to play the game differently. 💚🖤

Dalton Aint Worried said we’re all co-workers… so naturally, we gave him a job in the food truck. 😂

And THIS is how he shows up for his first shift! 😳

Can you believe the audacity?! 😂

Needless to say, **shirtless is NOT the way to be inside a food truck**, so Dalton didn’t even make it through his first shift before we had to fire him. 😂👋

No fear, Oxford peeps — you will **NOT** be getting served by a shirtless Dalton this evening! 🤣

Instead, you’re getting **ME** — your favorite sarcastic, middle-aged menopausal woman — making your GRUB just the way you like it! 💕🖤 and I’m wearing a shirt even though it’s hot outside. Rules man, rules!

Come hungry. Come laugh with us. And please… **wear a shirt to work.** 😂
