Tonight, we had the privilege of celebrating a very special moment as Bro. Sam Smith was ordained into the Gospel ministry!

Sam has been a part of the Camp Cadiz family for many years, and it has been a blessing to watch God work in and through his life. He first served alongside us as a student volunteer, then as a Junior Adult leader, and now as an Adult leader.

Over the years, Sam has led morning devotions, shared God’s Word during evening worship, and spent countless moments counseling, encouraging, and praying with students. He has never been afraid to step up, serve, and allow God to use him wherever he is needed.

One of the greatest blessings of Camp Cadiz is getting to watch young people grow—not only in age, but in their relationship with Christ and in their willingness to answer His call. Sam’s journey is a beautiful example of that. ❤️

We are thankful for Sam and Ashley and their continued support of Camp Cadiz, but even more thankful for their obedience to go wherever God leads them next.

Bro. Sam, your Camp Cadiz family is proud of you, praying for you, and excited to see how God continues to use you and Ashley for His Kingdom!

“Here am I; send me.” — Isaiah 6:8 🙏

Love. Grow. Serve.

If your child was between the ages of 6 and 17 (as of August 1, 2025) and your household received SNAP, KTAP, or Kinship Care for at least one month since July 1, 2025, they were automatically approved and those benefits have already been sent out.

How to apply: If your child wasn’t automatically enrolled, just make sure to submit your application by the August 15 deadline. Head over to kysebt.ky.gov to apply directly, or find the application through kynect at chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dcbs/dfs/pages/sebt.aspx.

Need some help? If you have questions or need assistance with your application, call 855-306-8959 or stop by your local Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) office.
