From my heart, thank you Burnsville. It's been a beautiful weekend.
Our little town is the best place to throw a good festival, celebrate our heritage and enjoy our friends and family.
The Old Timey Fall Festival was a hit. There is a very small group of close friends that joined up together and made it happen this year!
Special thank you to AG Hammond, Madolyn Rogers, Chris and Chuck Carlson, Pete, Natalie and Juliana from the Yancey County Chamber of Commerce, , Chris from Sassy Gal Burnsville & Spruce Pinel, Dennis from Something Special Gift Shop Deanna from the Bougie, The Mountain Time gals, and my forever flood friends Larry the Chaos Coordinator, Jay and Kim, and Carl and Deitra.
We will compile an official thank you note soon.
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors, and to Catscratch the Sound Man. Thanks to Officer Buchanan for keeping things rolling during set up both days, and to Sherriff Shane Hilliard for coordinating the First Responder Breakfast.
Thank you to the Vendors that rolled with the punches this morning when we had some stray cars and bathrooms in random places. We have the best vendors. Period.
Thank you to the musicians and the dancers, where not one single thing went according to plan and they STILL absolutely rocked it.
Also thank you to my friend Sue who had a particularly bad day herself, that took such time and love having the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers handmade for me I've ever seen. Flowers are my love language and she hit my soul with themπΈπΌ
A special recognition to The Hepburn Family, Pat and his girls and their families for continued support and leadership.
After about a million laps around the Square and up and down all the sidewalks in town, I came home this evening and crawled in bed with my sweet Mama. It was the perfect ending to the perfect day.
I loved those few minutes with her, and she loved them with meβ€οΈβ€οΈ.
I will spend more time with her, and begin thinking about Red, White and Burnsville. πΊπΈπΊπΈ
Thank you for a fabulous weekend.
Sincerely.
