Meet The Pit Master: Daniel

Once upon a time in Texas, there was a young man named Daniel, who everyone on his team lovingly called the PIT MASTER. While he embraced that title, he often reminded the team that he was actually the son of the original pit master, his father.
Growing up as the youngest of four boys, Daniel spent countless hours in the backyard with his family, gathered around their Dad as he shared his passion for smoking meats.

Daniel vividly remembers the lessons learned from those family gatherings: the different types of wood that can elevate the flavors, the precise spice blends that made each rub special, and, perhaps most importantly, the patience required to produce the perfect
brisket. His father taught him that good things take time, and the wait is worth it when you taste the rewards.

After gaining valuable experience, Daniel took his love for barbecue on the road with a food truck in Buda, Texas.
It was a thrilling adventure, but he had dreams of something
bigger. Eventually, those dreams came true when he opened his very own barbecue restaurant in Burnet, Texas.

At Dat'z Bar-B-Q, Daniel takes great pride in offering a menu where every side dish is made by hand from scratch. Among his special creations, the potato salad stands out as a cherished recipe from his 90-year-old mother, who still contributes her delicious
magic to the kitchen. This delightful dish has quickly become a local favorite, attracting customers from far and wide.

Daniel's journey from his father's backyard lessons to running his own restaurant is a testament to the love and tradition of barbecue in his family. He continues to carry on that legacy, serving up delicious food made with care an dedication, and always making sure that every guest feels like part of the family.
