In the villages of Greece, w**e was never meant to be complicated. đŸ·

Poured from barrels into simple carafes, passed around the table, and shared over meals that had no reason to end early. No special occasion needed. Just good food, familiar faces, and stories that lasted long after the plates were cleared.

This is Spitiko Krasi (σπÎčτÎčÎșό ÎșÏÎ±ÏƒÎŻ), the tradition of house w**e, and it now has a place at our table at Bar Vlaha.

Served in carafes, just as you would find in the tavernas of Greece. Meant to be poured generously, shared among friends, and enjoyed with the food and company that bring us together.

Tradition has a way of making you feel at home.

It’s the recipe someone taught you by heart. The bread still warm when it reaches the table. The familiar smell of something cooking over the fire. The stories you’ve heard a hundred times and still stay to hear again.

These are the traditions we carry from the villages and mountains of Central and Northern Greece to our home in Brookline and the ones we get to share with you around our table.
