Join Blake and Nina in the Boulder Mountain Lodge (UT) common room this Wednesday at 4 pm for an in person (and ghostly) reading, discussion and signing by our dear friend and distinguished author Betsy Gaines Quammen!

Betsy will take us on a spooky and supernatural road trip across America, from an Underground Railroad site in Ohio to the swamps of Arkansas and through Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah. This Haunted Land explores our unsettled past and why we need ghosts and ghost stories to understand human histories. We will offer festive libations and bites as we gather with Betsy by the fire.

We have lots of space for attending the reading in the common room! Availability for lodging is limited, but we still have a room or two left, definitely call us at 435-335-7460 if you need help finding an alternate place to stay. Afterwards we can all go get yummy dinner from our frisky new restaurant Little Bone by Hell’s Backbone Grill & Farm ✨👻✨

The autumnal farm is producing beautifully for us thanks to the effort of our hard working farm crew led by Jennifer Birdie Ringquist 🌱

Head Chef Tyler Warren is featuring every bit of the fresh harvest in our nightly specials and on the dinner plates. You can also find the delicious bounty in Little Bone’s dishes.

Our awesome head bartender Nate Geesaman has invented many craft cocktails and mocktails over his 13 seasons with us, but never have they been more delicious than this year.

On the menu at this moment, a Blackberry Wh***ey Sour hand-shaken with farm egg whites and Rye from our friends at Black Feather Spirits. Cheers!

This is important. We are COMPLETELY against the slaughter of these shy and extraordinary beings. We stand with the cougars. We are also against our waterways being managed as fisheries rather than vibrant and critical ecosystems and life giving water.

We are delighted to welcome the monks back to Boulder! Come join us August 30-September 4th. They have been coming here as our honored guests since our very first season, all the way the back to 2000 🙏

For the past 30 years, the monks of Drepung Loseling have been traveling the world to promote peace and healing by sharing Tibet’s sacred performing and visual arts as part of their tradition that dates back 2,500 years.

Endorsed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, these events are a way to preserve the endangered Tibetan culture, which today leads a fragile existence in the exiled refugee communities in India and Nepal.

During their time with us, the monks will be offering daily meditations, community lunches, lectures, personal blessings and special group Pujas for peace and protection.

We are incredibly honored to have them with us🙏 All of the funds raised during their visit go directly to supporting their monastery in South India, which houses and cares for more than 3,000 Tibetan refugee monks.

On July 13th, the boundaries of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument were reduced by 90% in a Presidential Proclamation signed by President Trump. The reduction is so drastic that the actual Grand Staircase geological formation is no longer included within the Monument boundaries.

This rollback is devastating, but it is also the catalyst for our fiercest fight yet. The story of Grand Staircase-Escalante is far from over. Even in these dark times and moments of uncertainty, hope shines through, and that light comes directly from people like you. Public lands belong to the public, and the outpouring of care, advocacy, and community support from passionate defenders remains our strongest line of defense.

We cannot afford to stand by while our natural heritage is carved up for short-term gain. Help us defend the monument by supporting us today.
