If you've been here awhile, you might recognize what's happening!

Something rich, a little chocolatey, a little minty, and only around for the cozy, colder months.

And if you're new here...you're about to meet one of my absolute favorites. 🌿

Coming back soon, so stay tuned!

Nothing says fall garden clean up like walking around saying, "Yep, that's dead too." 😂🍂

Texas summer took no prisoners this year. I'm pulling dead plants with one hand and already planning what herbs I can put in their spot with the other!

Drop your garden flops below so I know I'm in good company!

Sharing her with the world has been unexpectedly cathartic.

I miss her every day. But getting to tell her stories, and let people know a little piece of the woman behind all of this has been one of my favorite parts of building The Ruby Apothecary. 🤍

We matched the zodiac signs to their Ruby Apothecary counterparts. We aren't much for trends around here, but this one was fun to write!

Swipe to find yours, then tell us, did we get your sign right? 👀 And tag the friend whose match is painfully accurate. ♈️♉️♊️✨

And somehow I always find room for one more herb.

Every year I grow a little more, learn a lot more, and add another plant I want to figure out how to use.

What would you love to see me grow? Better yet, tell me your favorite thing to grow below.

The recipes I kept from Ruby weren't all written on cards.

The Ruby Apothecary is my way of holding onto those things she taught me simply by the way she lived and carrying them forward in my own way.

These are the recipes worth keeping most. 🌿

Hi, I'm Jessica 🌿 nurse, herbalist, gardener, and the person behind The Ruby Apothecary. Built on my grandmother Ruby's memory and a belief that self-care shouldn't wait until something's wrong.

Glad you're here. 🫶

Sometimes I wish I could show Ruby what her love has grown into. 🤍

What started as a way to honor her has slowly become something of my own, too.

I think she'd be pretty proud of what we're building.

I am not, and probably never will be, a naturally slow person. 😂

Ruby used to be baffled by how fast I ran around and how "busy" I always kept myself. Meanwhile, nothing moved fast at her house. Everything happened in due time. There was nowhere else you needed to be but right there with her.

Maybe that's why her house always felt like an exhale.

I think tea gives me a little piece of that now.

And together, they become Drift. 🌙

Catnip, mugwort, lemon balm, and rose each bring something different to this blend.

Catnip and lemon balm bring the calm. Mugwort is traditionally associated with dreaming and nighttime ritual. Rose rounds everything out with a softness that belongs in an evening cup.

I created Drift for the nights when your body is tired, but your brain hasn't quite gotten the message yet.

A little herbal nudge that says: we're done for today. 💤
