How to actually have FUN during your wedding portraits!!!
(So you never feel awkward in front of the camera.) ➡️
First things first...
You shouldn’t be expected to know how to pose!!
Seriously.
It’s not your job to create the magic.
It’s mine. 🤍
If I lined you up, told you exactly where to put your hands and said “”smile””...
I’d feel awkward too🙆🏼♀️
That’s why we do things a little differently.
You’ll probably notice something pretty quickly:
We’re not standing still very often. we’re walking, spinning, playing with your dress, slow motion- movie running, dancing, twirling your veil.
Here’s why... ➡️
Because the second you have something to DO, you stop thinking about the camera.
Instead, you’re thinking about each other!
And that’s where the fun really begins.
And no... you won’t be taking photos the entire time. You should feel like you’re spending time together, not surviving a photoshoot (Because the best photos usually happen in between.)
Those “in-between” moments?
That’s where the magic usually happens.
The laugh after the prompt, fixing each other’s hair, the way you naturally reach for each other’s hand and pull each other in close!
Those are the moments you can’t fake.
You don’t need to be photogenic, you don’t need to practice, you don’t need to worry about what to do with your hands.
You just have to show up exactly as you are!
And that’s when something really cool starts to happen.
Most couples tell me the same thing...
“That was WAY more fun than we expected!” 🤍
And when you leave your portraits feeling like that?
That’s when I know you stopped thinking about the camera and just enjoyed living in the moment.
