there’s no graceful way to phrase this, but cup of jomo’s days as a coffee bar are numbered.

after grinding for about 2.5 years of being a self-employed barista, i’m finding myself burnt out and fatigued from the realties of being a small-scale business owner which is working virtually 7days/week non-stop. i’m craving at the very least somewhat of a sabbatical, hoping to achieve a much better work/life balance that i’ve neglected to provide for myself in the last few years. this account will still stay active (afterall i converted my personal page into this one when i started😅) and i’m hoping will be revitalized with some passion projects i’d like to shift some of that energy into like at-home barista content, endorsing lovely local brands, my new workplace, my personal life, etc.

last day of service for me will be sunday august 20th, for information regarding how this will impact operations at 107 Black Mountain Ave moving forward: please defer to foothills’ social media accounts with news to come in the near future.

i want to send a HUGE expression of gratitude towards my gracious customers who have become so dear to me over this journey. also shout outs to my hosts and for being great business collaborators over my tenure.

looking forward to this next chapter of my life and will be schleping out coffee until the very last minute of service 🖤 ☕️ ⛰️

needing a gift for father’s day??? reminder that we carry 2 private label bags from for that dad in your life who’s drinking black coffee in a non-travel mug on the way to lowe’s every saturday. 👨🏻

they come whole bean but ask and we can happily grind them up if you don’t have a grinder at home. also every coffee bag purchase comes with a free drip coffee!

hey folks,

effective saturday 6/17, cup of jomo’s coffee bar hours are being reduced slightly. to be fully transparent, times are tough for the f&b industry right now and i unfortunately have ceased being able to afford a regularly scheduled barista on my payroll and am forced to furlough them. this means i am going back to the old school way of jomo where it’s just me but narrower hours so that i can afford to keep running.

i know this is probably a bummer to people who come early or late and understand the frustration but a friendly reminder that even with what seems like super limited hours that it still translates to 42 hours of labor for one person BEFORE i have to do syrup prep, admin, etc. and trying to set aside some time for my personal life.

silver lining to this is: my absolute favorite part of the job is being in the trenches slinging drinks and having fun interactions with all the regulars and meeting new faces. this means i get to focus more on that and will be more energetic whilst doing so with a better day-to-day schedule.

PLEASE NOTE: these hours do not apply to hours, there will simply be a “last call” for coffee bar items at 2pm while they continue to make meats & provisions sales.
