Our First Annual Porktober Celebration starts today.

This October is our First Annual Porktober, a month-long celebration of pork, and we're going to do it every October from now on. A new Porktober special arrives each week, and Week 1 is named for Robert.

I'll be honest with you: when we first read Robert's words, we didn't know whether he was complaining or bragging on us. We've decided it doesn't matter, because he's right, and we have no plans to change. Every pound of our pulled pork spends sixteen hours on the smoker at 220 degrees, then gets another round of heat and a full rest before it's ready for you. Pork you've waited that long for deserves a full bun.

So for Week 1, "Over Stuffed," we're doing penance the only way we know how.

Thursday through Sunday, bring someone you like to eat with. Buy one Pulled Pork Sandwich Meal with a fountain drink, tea, or sweet tea (free refills when you dine in), or a baked on-premise dessert cookie, for $17.98, and the second meal is $11.98. That's $6 back in your pocket, and two people leave full.

Call us at (352) 513-5665 or come in and eat with us. Just say code word PENANCE. It ends Sunday at 8pm.
