Thinking of all of our vendor friends this morning impacted by the storms - wind and rain are not friends to outdoor markets. Weather can be unpredictable and when surprises happen, equipment can be damaged and product lost. ❤️‍🩹 The stories of friends, strangers, and customers a like coming together to help one another with cleanup is inspiring to hear. It doesn’t erase the hit, but eases everyone’s hearts and spirits.

Like yesterday, the next two blends coming with me this season couldn’t be farther from taste or look from each other - one light, floral, and perfect for the hot summer days coming up and one darker, richer, and root based that reminds you of coffee, but in tea form!

✨ AURORA BOREALIS 🌌 This bright uplifting floral herbal tea has notes of mint, lavender, jasmine, and raspberry to build a wildly flavorful positive cup of tea. There is a fun sciency twist to this one! Like its namesake, when you steep it, your tea will turn this beautiful blue-green color and if you add a splash of lemon or citrus juice to your tea, it’ll turn a pretty purple-pink color!

🍄‍🟫 Jörd 🫚 doesn’t technically have caffiene, but does have Lion’s Mane mushroom. The tea is a blend of roasted chicory and dandelion roots that aid in digestion, ashwagandha root for stress reduction, lion’s mane for clarity and focus, as well as orange, cinnamon, and roasted cacao nibs to add to the richness and well-rounded flavor profile.

Good evening Northern Spirit friends!

With everything that’s been going on I spaced sharing this earlier, but wanted to share before our first market this coming Saturday. With the price hikes on the things the apothecary needs to bring high quality delicious teas to you, we have had to adjust our pricing a little to account for this.

With this we are launching our loyalty cards (buy 9, get the 10th free of a specific size tea bag) and hope to share fun surprise sales and such for markets and festivals.

We hope you understand and are getting as absolutely excited as we are that the summer farmers market season is here!!!

The next 2 blends that will be with us this season could be considered the light and dark side blends (for all us nerds out there)!

💚 HEL’s 🖤 blend was created after an abundance of requests came in for the apothecary to have a sleepytime tea! A dark berry flavor from black currants and elderberry mixed with a little mint. To make it sleepy, valerian root adds a dark earthy note to it and helps relax your body for sound sleep. (Definitely not one to mix pharmaceuticals or alcohol). I cannot begin to express the number of friends, family, and customers that have said this blend helped them!

On the flip side, 🍎 IDUNN 🍏 is the goddess of rejuvenation and spring; she’s associated with eternal youth and guards the magic golden apples. It only fits that apples are a big part of the flavor of this blend! Mixed with cinnamon and some earthy oatstraw and a touch of citrus, this blend has a light crisp flavor reminiscent apple cinnamon oatmeal! What I personally love is it is great both hot and cold - so inevitably when I walk away from my desk and come back, it still tastes great!

We’re at the countdown to our first Farmers Market of Gretna this coming Saturday!!!

We still have a more blends to share that will be here this coming Saturday and all season! The next two are some of my favorites - one blend that is a long time favorite and one I truly believe has been a hidden gem to those who’ve tried it.

🌺 FREYJA 🌹is a beautiful blend that brews deep pink and is full of dark floral and elderberry with a hint of lemon. The mineral packed nettle, rich hibiscus and rose hips, and immune supportive nature of elderberry, this blend brings a lot to the table. It does beautifully as a hot brew, sun tea, and cold brew, so no matter how you want to enjoy it, it’ll shine.

🏔️ SKADI 🌲is goddess of winter, the mountains, and women’s strength and her blend embodies every bit of that. With earthy white pine, spicy juniper, rich blood orange and a hint of mint for that crisp winter brightness. This blend is packed with vitamin C and brings crisp and spiced and earthy all to a warm mug.

Next up is Wolf! 🐺💜

This herbal blend mixes together gentle properties and soft flavors of lavender and raspberry leaf and a handful of other beautiful herbs.

The fun thing with this herbal blend is that it has proven to be a bridge between classic earl gray tea drinkers and herbal teas! The blend itself reminds so many earl gray fans of it taste wise and has become a go to for many of our followers.

This tea blend will return this season to the market! Have you tried it yet?

We’ll start with our original blend - ☀️🍋 Raven! 🐦‍⬛🌿

When I created our apothecary’s first tea blend I created it to what I needed most - a tasty, easy to drink, calming cup of tea. To this day it is the tea I recommend most to new tea drinkers or people wanting to try one of our blends for the first time. It’s crisp spearmint paired with the bright notes of lemon verbena, the mineral packed goodness of nettle, and the calming nature of chamomile all blend together for a warm mug that calms you down after a long day.

The beauty of those ingredients is that it also makes a wonderful sun tea and iced tea! It’s a go to for myself and my family and will forever be a favorite.
