A lot of people ask me if I have fruit cakes, this is not a fruit cake is a petit gâteau. A petit gâteau is an individual French-style dessert made with several layers of flavors and textures — such as mousse, ganache, fruit confit, sponge, or a crunchy layer — finished with a thin chocolate shell or velvet coating.
It’s not a traditional cake or fruit cake, but a complete plated-style dessert in a single serving.
