Had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Wolfe and tasting one of his yummy burgers this Saturday at his taste test day.

I will wait to officially rate and review when he's pumping them out fresh once he gets established in Corvallis. However I will say that I think you're in for a treat. IMHO, Corvallis has a need for more burger joints and I'm excited for my new friend to start grilling for you all!

I got a cheeseburger, it came with lettuce, pickles and tomatoes on the side. I just put pickles on mine and the really tasty burger sauce. You might tell from the pics that it was a little while after picking the burger up that I was about to stop and eat it (about 20 minutes). It was really well seasoned and tasted great so I can't wait to eat one fresh. Maybe Mr. Wolfe will give us an update soon on when he plans on launching! I'll share whatever I hear.

I know it's not Oregon or the Willamette Valley, but it's a must stop if you've haven't been...

Hudson's Hamburgers in Coeur d'Alene has been in business for 119 years this year! I've posted about them before, but had the chance grab a burger there again last week.

Right from the flat top to your plate! No frills whatsoever. No seasoning on the beef, it gets plenty from that old flattop. Onions, pickles, cheese are your only options. They have bottles of ketchup, hot mustard, or a mix of the two at the counter.

So simple, but very good!!

Anyone else been able to try them out?

Got the chance to drop in to Eastwind Drive In in Cascade Locks. I've wanted to try them out for a lot of years but never timed it right.

I ordered a cheeseburger. It comes standard with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, American cheese and a mayo based burger sauce. I held the tomatoes and added pickles.

It was pretty much what I expected and what I had hoped to discover. A nostalgic old fashioned burger joint. I thoroughly enjoyed this burger. It reminded me of Hasty Freez in Albany or Linn Lanes in Lebanon.

The patty was thin but nicely seasoned. The ingredients were fresh. Couldn't ask for much more.

I'm a bit late but I didn't forget!! What is your go to hamburger for national hamburger day? My choice? Hasty Freez in Albany. And it was so good!!
