Wanna see something new and different? Come to Theatre Project this weekend!

Opening Thursday for 5 shows - A WALL BETWEEN US - by SIngle Shoe Productions

Two German scientists trying to belong.

Two border vigilantes on a secret mission.

Two unlikely lovers.

And 220 cardboard boxes.

London-based Single Shoe Productions’ A WALL BETWEEN US combines video projection, visual storytelling and illusions to interweave three revealing stories, examining our need to belong to a place, how this affects us, others, and the land itself.

Single Shoe is an international theatre company founded by immigrants whose mission is to create theatrical experiences that challenge boundaries, explore the connections that hold us together and celebrate our common humanity, regardless of where we come from.

This is it! The very last day of Charm City Fringe Festival 2024. And, well, it's been weird in the best way, folx. 🥹

Celebrate with a performance or three this afternoon — and join us for the FREE CLOSING PARTY this evening at 7 pm at the Peale!

📢 Nudge your Fringe friends, your brother, or the swamp goblin who hangs in your basement and get your tickets at charmcityfringe.com/tickets.

Today, we've got nine final performances — and one Fringe After Dark experience, and one big party — that you don't want to miss. Here are your very last chances to take part in Fringe 2024:

⚰️ Life Review: The Hospice Musical (1:00 pm): Check out this exciting one-man version of the new musical comedy, featuring eight songs, highlights from the full-length show. "Life Review" celebrates lives well lived, bringing the stories of our lives to stage through the power of beautiful songs. Inspired by the real-life experiences of the playwright Benjamin Kintisch, the creator will present the show accompanied by live piano and guitar.

🌶️ Masala (1:00 pm): Who doesn’t like it hot? Seasoned stand-up Arzoo returns with her third hourlong comedy. Get ready for the spiciest show at the Fringe- in more ways than one! ‘Sassy, bold, and irreverent’ (ITP Media) ‘Funny, acidic’ (Magpie) 'Surprisingly kind’ (ThreeWeeks).

📋 Baltimore In Recovery (2:00 pm): What would it look like if Baltimore got therapy? Three Baltimore archetypes in counseling face their anger. Each converses with a therapist about who they are and why they are who they are. What will they reveal, during the session? Is it too late to get help? Is redemption possible?

🍍 Guevmes (2:15 pm): Corporate colonialism on a paradise island. Q***r billionaire boys searching for jungle drugs. A sociopath Lothario sweaty with lust and rum. A governess from Prague and a witch hell-bent on revenge. Deep in the flora and fauna of the past a jungle lord reigns supreme, but Western interests will infect this secret garden.

🔮 Madame Edgewise Tells Your Fortune (2:30 pm): Whether you’re a sage-wielding true-believer or a dyed-in-the-wool skeptic, everyone can get behind the power of STORY. So let us gather together, performer and audience, to create a story that is only OURS, only this moment. Let us allow the cards to guide us. For a laugh. Or a truth.

🫶 (self)PORTRAIT(s) (3:30 pm): Everybody has an origin story – unique, exciting, maybe a little terrifying... They make us the individuals we are. But they really only matter if we share them with each other. Our identities depend on how we are seen by others. What do we have in common? Let’s find out.

🎯 Are you still WOKE?: A Game Show (3:30 pm): Remember 2020 and the summer of unrest? When White people paid their subscription to be an Ally against racism? Well, it's been 4 years....is the membership still valid? "Are you still WOKE?" is a game show that challenges White players to see if they are ready to renew.

👩 That Woman — The Monologue Show (4:45 pm): THAT WOMAN - THE MONOLOGUE SHOW is a series of monologues from the perspectives of women involved with President John F. Kennedy, including: Ellen Rometsch, Blaze Starr, Mimi Alford, Mary Pinchot Meyer, Judith Exner, and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The history you were never taught in school.

🩰 B&B Collective (6:00 pm): Our final Fringe After Dark show! This is an evocative performance of dance that bridges history and artistry.

🐻 Love, frfr (the ballad of a good man) (6:00 pm): Mario is a good man--a dream come true. He listens. He works hard. He's funny. He's kind. He's sensitive. He's an artist... and an athlete. His brains are only bested by his biceps. His therapist calls him "perfect." So why does this nice guy still finish last?

🎉 7:00 pm: Festival Closing Party!!! Mingle with the artists, indulge in delicious treats from Raspberry moments, and watch our festival awards ceremony. FREE and open to the public.

About Me

Hi, my name is Lindsey! I grew up in a small town in Illinois but in the last few years I’ve come to call Baltimore, Maryland home. I’m always out and about because there is so much to do here. I’m a foodie so I love going out to eat and trying new places but I also really like to cook. Everyone I know is always asking me what is going on in the area, what should they do, where should they eat? “You should write a blog!” I hear it a lot so now I can finally say, “I do!”. This blog might be all over the place with food, fun, etc., but I hope it will also serve as a good resource for those looking to fill their time in Baltimore.
