While we take a little time to enjoy our weekend, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to introduce some of the people who help make restaurant foraged. what it is.

First up, meet Kenny Grandon, aka K grandon, our sommelier and front of house manager.

Because our menu is so closely connected to the land and the seasons, Kenny wanted the wine pairing to feel just as connected to this region. He took the opportunity to build an all-Virginia pairing that gives us a chance to showcase the incredible work being done by wineries across the state, while making sure every glass truly belongs with the food.

When you come in to dine, be sure to try some of the incredible Virginia wines Kenny has selected for the menu.

today we need to celebrate this young lady.

nia started with us when she was just 17, washing dishes at our first location in hampden. she stayed with us through the move to station north, where she quickly became a strong part of the team — learning the line, growing as a cook, and becoming an absolute monster at prep.

five years later, she moved from baltimore, her hometown, out here to northern virginia to continue this next chapter with us.

and today, she hit a big milestone. after a few attempts at building her own sourdough starter, nia finally baked her first batch of sourdough bread. We couldn't be more proud of her!

those joining us for dinner tonight, or later this week, are in for a treat.

Peite manseng grown in Virginia, can be sort of a chameleon grape going from mostly dry all the way to sweet dessert wine. It's basically Virginia's answer to tokai.

This is paired with pur 5th course franklin farms egg custard with patowmack farm blueberry compote.
