Construction has arrived on Aurora Main Street!
While crews get to work improving the road and the infrastructure underneath it, we are as ready as ever to welcome you and yours for great meals, cold drinks, and good company at the Copper Nickel!
Our front door will remain open until construction reaches the phase when the sidewalks are removed and replaced. We have also been busy giving our back alley entrance a little Copper Nickel love to make getting to us as easy and welcoming as possible.
The easiest way to visit us during construction…
🚙 Park in either the
- 🚒The Community Center/Fire Station parking lot south of the Copper or
- 📚The City Hall/Library parking lot north of the Copper
And, then make your way through the alley to our back entrance.
We have 🚩 flags along the way to help direct you, and 🌼 flowers & 💡 lights in the alley to brighten the path.
♿ We also have two designated handicap parking spaces in the alley for guests who benefit from being closer to the entrance. We kindly ask everyone else to leave these spaces available for those with accessibility needs.
♥️ Most importantly, we want to say Thank You!
Construction can be tough on small businesses. A closed road, a different parking spot, or having to use another entrance may seem like little things, but they can make a very real difference in whether people decide to stop.
So throughout this project, we hope you’ll continue to make the little extra effort to support not only the Copper Nickel, but every business affected by construction. Behind every storefront are local owners, employees and families who are incredibly grateful each time you choose to shop, eat, drink and spend locally.
Main Street may look a little different for a while, but the businesses that make it Main Street are still here and ready to welcome you.
Thank you for sticking with all of us through the dust, detours and construction. We truly appreciate your continued support and can’t wait to see you at the Copper!
