Meet the Owner!
LX Catering ATL is the brain child of Xavier Brent.
"My love for food was sparked and cultivated at home in experiences with my family. I had a passion for the creation of food ever since my first time assisting my Aunt Wanda mix up her famous Mac and cheese recipe one summer while visiting her in New York. She was such a huge influence on my pallet, and love for flavors from different countries. From my first time tasting sashimi, to my first nasty street hot dog, those summers greatly influenced me.
In high school, I began to prepare weekly meals for my classmates and family, creating my own dishes, exploring different ingredients, and perfecting dishes that had been passed down from my parents and grandparents. I started to watch my parents and other family members create and execute southern classics and quickly learned to alter and perfect them. This was solidified in a landslide win at a large cooking competition during my senior year of high school where I took the grand prize for my aunts Mac and cheese recipe! The next few years, I experimented with cuisines from different cultures and perfected dish upon dish.
This love for cooking quickly developed into a desire to share my food with the world. Thus, LX Catering ATL was born!"
