I’m so excited to share that Summer Joy’s Bakery is back at Florida Farmers Markets! I moved back in March and have been popping up at a few markets whenever I’m not on shift as a labor and delivery nurse (life’s been busy, but sweet- literally!).

Custom orders are now open through the website linked in the bio. Just a heads-up: it may take up to 72 hrs for a response, but I promise I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks so much for your continued support- it means the world!

2021 is hard for me to put into words.

There were so many ups and downs this year with staring Summer Joy’s Bakery. It started super low, but honestly I didn’t know any different. This business has grown so much since May it’s kind of mind blowing when I think about it.

I can’t thank everyone enough who has supported me by purchasing, sharing, talked about, liked, and any other ways you have supported me this past year.

Doing over 100 markets this year was crazy and I lost the joy of baking multiple times after making the same stuff each week. Which is why I change the menu up so much or have limited items at markets.

I’m so glad I have a following who understands that I’m human too. Y’all have been so patient with me and understanding. I’m o so grateful for that!

2022 will be a great year but a bit different

I will be starting a blog
I will be making more time for myself
I will make new things
It will be a great year filled with happiness & Joy!

Christmas orders were crazy this past week thanks to so many hospital orders and company orders. 🤍

I will still be moving to Georgia on the 28th this month less than one week away. I still haven’t packed anything, yikes!

I will be returning to Florida for the first three weeks of January for markets. Then back to Georgia till the second week of February for some party orders down here in Florida.

I know that’s a lot of information and I don’t expect anyone to remember all of that. So I will keep y’all updated in stories where I’ll be each week for the next couple of months till I’m officially settled in Ga.

To Summer Joy’s Bakery Florida family,

I am saddened to announce that I will be moving to Georgia on December 28th. With this being said Florida will always have a place in my heart and I won’t be gone forever. Until I have built my business up enough in Georgia I will be coming down the third week of every month to do markets.

With that being said I will reserve the third week of every month for Fl orders. If you don’t see what you want on my website I will be more than happy to take custom orders and deliver your baked good to your door or you may pick them up at markets every third week of the month.

To Summer Joy’s Bakery Georgia family,

I’m happy to be back in the same neighborhood I grew up in 12 years of my life. I will have a revolving menu each week for you to order off of or you may place a custom order. I will hand deliver your sweets right to your door. I will not be doing any markets in Georgia as of right now.

I will also be going back to college for the next 18 months starting in January to get my BSN degree from Mercer University which I’m extremely excited about. I will continue to bake for any and all occasions but as a hobby and no longer as a business after I’ve received my degree in August 2023.

Thank you all for the love and support this far and I hope to continue to grow this little bakery of mine whether you will be near or far from Summer Joy’s Bakery.

So thankful

The past few weeks have been some of the best weeks since I started this little business of mine back in May. Y’all have shown me so much love with online orders, custom orders, and at markets.

This past week was my busiest week to date. I’ve been so busy I forgot about posting. Oops

So many of you have noticed how busy I’ve been and have sent me messages that absolutely make my day and remind me why I started this business in the first place. If I haven’t gotten back to you thank you so much!!

Success

It’s measured in different ways. Yesterday I saw success in myself and my business when people would come back to my booth 5-6 times. It’s when people would come over with boxes and say fill it up and would give me 10 tickets. It was when my team tried my desserts and kept eating them like hot cakes.

Yesterday was amazing and I’ve learned so much. It was all about the experience for me.

Things to note for next go around. Make sure all judges try my desserts ( four judges didn’t based off the samples I had plated for them). Tell people to vote for you and give them a business card with there Dessert after all they are trying so many it’s likely they won’t remember which dessert they got from where. It’s the little things that can make a difference.

All in all I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to be apart of dessert wars and now that I know what to expect hopefully next time I will place higher overall.

Thank you to everyone who helped me in any sort of way for this event and to dessert wars for throwing such a great event!

It’s competition day!!

I’m super excited, this is my first competition with my baked goods.

No matter the outcome today I know that I’ve put my all in and that’s enough for me. I’ve pushed myself to my limits making over 1,000 dessert samples and many other things.

I can’t thank everyone enough that’s helped me prepare for Dessert Wars. It took a village and my helpers are amazing!!!

Today’s about the experience for me not necessarily winning even though that would be pretty awesome.

I won’t be posting anything till after 7pm but feel free to tag me in y’all’s post if you are attending.

This sale is considered our Black Friday sale as everything will ship out Black Friday week. You should receive it on or before thanksgiving day.

All items can be frozen up to 3 months upon delivery so stock up.
