Hark! A new TDH DIPA is here! “Cosmic Bouquet” is an exercise in highlighting a new-to-us Hop, Celeste, by pairing it with hops that would complement its oil composition as best we could. Very thankful to The HOPGUILD for the hop suggestion! We tried really hard to build a base foundation of hops that would really elevate Celeste as best we could!

This TDH Hazy DIPA is packed to the gills with more Hops than you can shake a cosmic bird’s feathers at. Mashed with Riverbend Malt House Cumberland Pils, then fluffed up to the heavens with Riverbend Oat Malt, Appalachian Wheat, and Flaked Oats. We hit it in the Whirlpool with Strata, and El Dorado Lupomax, then threw it on top of a Hot Dip in the FV with El Dorado Incognito. Fermented with our House Hazy IPA yeast, dry-hopped first with a very large charge of Celeste, spunded for 100% natural carbonation, and then double-dry-hopped with an obnoxious volume of more Celeste and more El Dorado Lupomax, THEN triple-dry-hopped with a very heavy dose of Citra Liquid Lupulin in the Brite for good measure.

An exceedingly fluffy body, it’s giving White Gummy bears and Bosch Pears floating in a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, some nice wedges of Bittermelon, Passionfruit smoothies in a bed of Pine Needles, some uber-dank and resinous sticky-icky without that “DAMN THAT’S SOME GAS” stank to it, very specifically Watermelon Jolly Ranchers if they were also definitely edibles, and an exceedingly pleasant balance of bitterness and fruity-sweetness that we’ve truly been striving for with these Hoppy Ales lately. Celeste is a certified banger of a Hop, no doubt about it. BIG BIG UPS to The HOPGUILD for the hookup with Celeste hops!

OOOOO WEEEEEE!!!! SCOOP ME BABY, ONE MORE TIME!!!

“Mango Sticky Riot” is a Smoothie-Style GF Sour, modeled after Mango Sticky Rice, and whipped up in collaboration with our Michigan brethren, H◉MES BREWERY. Those crazy Northerners know a thing or two about Fruited Sours. With all their fruit acumen, we really wanted to push ourselves outside our comfort zone, and the results are seriously whacked out in the best way possible. The response was an INSANE smash-hit on the first batch, so we changed nothing and scaled it up so we (hopefully) don’t sell out so fast this time!

We did something inconceivable with this one, and we actually made hundreds of pounds of Sticky Rice with Coconut Milk. We then conditioned the GF Sour base on that homemade Sticky Rice, tons and tons of thick and pulpy Mango, Brown Sugar, and Coconut Cream. This is so on-the-nose, it’s laughable. This just tastes exactly like a fat scoop of Coconut-laden Sticky Rice with some fresh Mango wedges on top. Fruity, starchy, sour, tropical, thick, and delicious. Bingo, bango, bongo, y’all.

Big big BIG thanks to our friends from the North who hit us up to bring forth this wild and wacky Fruited Sour concoction. Miss you all already.

“Ultimate Freeplay’’ is one of our favorite WCIPAs and it’s baaaaack! We hope you’re as friggin’ jazzed about it as we are cuz it’s just as addicting as pinball! Once you figure it out, of course! And just FYI, we’ve got pinball in the AVL taproom all-day-every-day, so come on down and slug a pint while smashing some balls. All skill levels are welcome.

Mashed with Riverbend Malt House Chesapeake Pils and a dash of Chit Malt, along with a hint of Flaked Rice. We then hopped it throughout the boil with some extra-fruity new-harvest Ella, and hit it hard in the Whirlpool with Centennial. Fermented crisp and clean with our House WCIPA yeast, and then spunded for a perfect natural carbonation. We then dry-hopped it once, but BIG TIME, with a blend of even more Ella, along with Superdelic, and BRU-1 Cryo.

Prepare for a synthesized dose of complex tropical smoothies, fresh Satsuma Tangerines, Pineapple Pez candies, toast slathered in Mango and Raspberry jellies, and a nice balance of tropical-citrus-grassy-dankness wrapped up in a firm bitterness that never overpowers or backs down. Wowee-zowie, y’all!

We revamped the hops this time a SMIDGE, just to really bring this beer to what we’ve always envisioned it to be. We hope ya dig it!

AMIGOS! Y’ALL ARE EXCEPTIONAL AND EXCEPTIONAL FOLKS DESERVE “AMBER LIFE DELUXE!”

We’ve been undergoing a bit of a brand reset with our Lager program in order to highlight some more traditional styles and bring it under one brand-identiy-umbrella (idk man), and so we whipped up “Amber Life”, our take on a Mexican Amber Corn Lager. This was dreamed up by our Cellarperson, Jamis, who was asking for something more Malt-forward, but with a pronounced Corn profile. Obviously, this was the way. This is also for all the old-heads that roll in and ask us if we have an Amber Ale. Everyone has a place on our tap list. We hear you and we appreciate your candor.

Mashed with a loving (AND SECRET!) blend of 100% Riverbend Malt House Malts (20% of which was Corn, don’t you worry), hopped ever-so-gently with yet even more secret additions, and fermented with our House Lager Yeast. Of course, it was spunded for natural carbonation before being laid down to rest in one of our Horizontal Lager Tanks.

And with that, we are very happy to add one more super-easy-drinking Lager to our “Life” portfolio. Cold and crisp, a robust-yet-balanced Malt character with an undeniable Corn presence, and just enough hop character to keep you wanting a LIIIIIITLE bit more. Just like 4-8 more Pints, nothing crazy. Call us crazy, but we experience a bit of Outback Steakhouse Brownbread rolls, fresh-out-the-oven Corn biscuits, a hint of just-mown grass, a touch of morning petrichor while watching the sunrise with a cup of Tea, and a very beautiful harmonic balance similar to the energy given off by the color Amber. F**k yeah.

“Purp Purp Lemonade” is one of our favorite far out Gluten-Free sours thus far and we thought it was high time to bring this one back for y’all, but obviously revamped and better than ever.

Made with a totally radical blend of Blackberry, Raspberry, and Lemons…and Purple? It is here to take your taste buds by the hand and help them board a flight straight to Flavortown (no relation to Guy Fieri’s spot).

Remember those Hard Lemonade bottles in your parents’ fridge as a kid? Pretty much this is that, but with some amped up Mixed Berry character. Yep. The style description is pretty accurate… What more do you need?

Mashed with a loving (AND SECRET!) blend of Riverbend Malt House Malts (and some German Roasted Malt), hopped ever-so-gently with (ALSO SECRET!!) Czech-grown hop additions, and fermented with our House Lager Yeast. Of course, it was spunded for natural carbonation before being laid down to rest in one of our Horizontal Lager Tanks for a couple-two-t’ree moons.

Cold, crisp, far smoother than the color would have you believe, just enough Hop character to tie the whole room together, and just enough roasted Malt character to keep you wanting a LIIIIIITLE bit more. Just like 4-8 more Pints, nothing crazy. Fresh-baked bread with a dusting of Cocoa, Jasmine Tea in a Brown Bread bowl, and a very beautiful balance. F**k yeah.
