Virginia Hunt Country Living

Virginia Hunt Country Living Real estate professional with Pearson Smith Realty.

I’m D.A. Ford, a real estate agent with a passion for learning and teaching. I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Houston, Texas and I’ve called New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia home, so I know a thing or two about looking for a new home. I have owned and rented because each has made sense at different times in my life; that’s how I approach the rent vs own question. Homes have captivated me since my childhood. I rode my bicycle through the neighborhood next door to contemplate the homes. I was fascinated with classical Greek and Roman architecture, too. Today, Victorian homes and castles enchant me and I have Pinterest boards dedicated to them. I get a thrill out of visiting new model homes because I love to see different styles of exterior design and interior décor. When I was a child, whenever I was curious about something, I usually looked it up in our family’s encyclopedia. I still have the insatiable curiosity I had as a child, but of course, I use Google instead of the family encyclopedia. I enjoy following breadcrumbs to see where a topic will lead me; I almost always discover something new. I have nearly 20 years’ experience writing user manuals that showed people how to use software. I collaborated with software engineers, managers, and customers. Now, I help my clients understand every aspect of buying or selling a home and collaborate with loan officers, closing officers, home inspectors, and other professionals involved in buying or selling a house. I’m not a ‘natural salesperson’. That is, I’m not the outgoing ‘people person’ you naturally think of when you think of a real estate professional. Nevertheless, I’m good at the behind-the-scenes work that gets your deal done. I’m a critical thinker who takes the time to deliberate until I solve a problem. I listen carefully to what you say—and what you don’t say—to meet your unique needs. I communicate effectively in writing and in person, which is essential in any real estate deal; from marketing your house to writing an offer to negotiating, words matter. Paperwork and organization may be another agent’s Kryptonite, but it’s my yellow sun; I live to put everything in its place. I may not make a friend everywhere I go, but I have a tight inner circle of friends and family. If you hire me to represent you, I will consider you a member of that inner circle, which means I’ll be fiercely loyal and always put your interests first.
