🎶 TONIGHT at Red Bear Haus! 🎶

“Hanging on the Porch” with Chris Collins starts at 7:00 PM!

Chris is a nationally touring John Denver tribute artist who somehow manages to bring together folks who remember John Denver the first time around… and younger folks who leave wondering why old music wasn’t half bad after all. 😄

There’s just something about a summer evening in the canyon — music on the deck, cold drinks, mountain air, and good people gathered together enjoying the good life.

🪑 Bring a camp chair or blanket!Chris plays out on the deck, and folks spread out on the lawn to enjoy the evening.

🍔 Friendly Red Bear PSA if you’re wanting dinner:Regular kitchen closes at 6:00 PM, and we switch over to chicken wings at 7:00 PM.

Our cook gets absolutely body-slammed when everybody rolls in at 5:45 wanting burgers all at once 😄 and once the kitchen gets buried, we sometimes have to cut off the burger line.

So do yourself (and our cook) a favor:

Come early. Grab dinner. Grab a cold drink. Bring a friend… or make a new friend.

That’s what Red Bear Haus is all about —

Good people enjoying the good life together.

Conejos Canyon traffic jam. 🫎

No honking. No road rage. Just mama moose and the babies taking their sweet time.

One of the perks of mountain life—sometimes the wildlife reminds you to slow down a little.

Cold beer is flowing, burgers are hot, ice cream is cold, and canyon life is doing canyon life.

See y’all up the hill.

🍺📖 Beer & Bible is back at Red Bear Haus!

Wednesdays • 6:00 PM

Mountains. Good people. Cold beer. Open Bibles.

Beer is optional. Bible required.

This season we’re walking through 1 Peter together.

No hype. No weirdness. No pretending to have it all figured out.

Just sitting down, opening the text, and asking:

What was Peter actually trying to say?Who was he writing to?Why did he write it?And how would the people who first received this letter have understood it?

Not random verses. Not “what does this mean to me?” after 17 seconds. 😄

We’re going to slow down, read it together, ask good questions, and try to understand what Peter meant before we decide what it means for us.

Whether you know your Bible well, haven’t cracked one open in years, are skeptical, curious, seasoned, rusty, or somewhere in between — pull up a chair.

Bring a Bible. Grab a beer (or don’t). Ask questions.

Let’s read it together.

Beer optional. Bible required.Wednesdays • 6:00 PM • Red Bear Haus

Five tired Great Divide riders cozied up in the Bear tent last night 😄

I did ask if anybody was on an FBI watch list before taking the picture.

This is one of the cool parts of summer up here — tired riders, good stories, cold beer, and a soft place to land in Conejos Canyon.

Everybody’s coming out of the woods again… 🌲🐾

Locals, campers, bikers, fishermen… and apparently the occasional Sasquatch looking for a cold one. 🍺

Summer is back in Conejos Canyon, the music is rolling, the canyon is waking up, and the Bear is in full stride.

Come see what (or who) shows up at Red Bear Haus this summer. 🐻
