Celebrating Independence Day 🇺🇸 with these delicious sugar cookies from ! They were the the most popular item at the BBQ I went to today, and everyone kept commenting on how pretty they are. Behold, quite possibly the best Caesar Salad in Ann Arbor!! The egg is my favorite part and it’s basically a soft boiled egg that they bread and fry so it’s crispy on the outside and has the runny yolk on the inside. You must try this if you haven’t yet!

Did you know you can get amazing sushi at Plum Market that is made by ?! They have a sushi chef there every day until 4pm and also have a $6 per roll special during the last two hours that Plum Market is open! Yes, every roll. This is a great deal and ensures the sushi is always fresh. It creeps me out when I see sushi on the shelf at and at the end of the day and then it’s still there in the morning. 😑 I didn’t know is behind the sushi at until I looked at their Instagram page a week or so ago, but now it all makes sense! CHICKEN ALFREDO POTATO from is the best baked potato you’ll ever have! As the name implies, this is a baked potato topped with chicken Alfredo and cheese! I also added broccoli, which was an amazing choice because it gave me brocolli and cheddar vibes that perfectly complimented the chicken Alfredo. .o makes everything from scratch, including the Alfredo sauce, and the flavor combinations are perfect. Trust me now, thank me later. Check my story to see more of what I ate like the best fried shrimp I’ve ever had. You can have Brookie’s Cafe delivered, order takeout or eat at their restaurant. I highly recommend you try their food!

Thrive Juicery is Ann Arbor’s newest spot that you are going to LOVE! is in the same shopping center as Trader Joe’s. I got the Sunshine juice and an order of their avocado toast. I sampled all their juices and literally each one was soooo good. They make their cold-pressed juices in-house so they don’t have to pasteurize the juice (which destroys much of the nutrition) like the juices you’ll find in grocery stores and other spots in town. The avocado toast was really delicious and you could tell it’s because of the thoughtful ingredients like the bread from which was fluffy and crusty at the same time and perfect for delivering the ripe avocado, tomatoes and balsamic glaze to your mouth! I asked the owners why they started this juicery, and they explained that they started it because one of them (the guy walking through the door in the background of this picture) had a rare form of cancer and they needed to find a way to improve his diet and get more nutrients into it to maximize his chances of beating cancer. They realized that it’s not easy to have a nutritious diet and wished there there was a place they could get juice that hadn’t already lost most of its nutritional benefits due to the way it was prepared/packaged. The good news is that the owner beat cancer and lived to bring all of us the most nutritious and best tasting juice in Ann Arbor so we don’t have to go through the same struggle! Stop by and give them a try. Make sure to say hi to the owners and you’ll definitely learn a thing or two about juice! KHAO SOI is a yummy soup from northern Thailand that you can now get at ! I first tried this dish in Thailand this past March and I think ’s version of it is as tasty as I remember it being in Thailand. Jordan and his team at HOMES make this with a 23 ingredient curry paste, velvety chicken stock, tons of rich coconut milk and coconut cream. The soup broth is so good that I ate every last drop of it. Bathing in the broth you’ll find wonton noodles, a chicken drumstick, pickled mustard greens and herbs. This soup is traditionally topped with a pile of fried wonton noodles as seen in this picture and they definitely add a nice crunch! When I asked Jordan how he learned to make this dish so well he said he learned how to make variants of this dish working under Michelin Starred chef Andy Ricker, Top Chef Master Patricia Yeo and Detroit’s own Brad Greenhill. If you love Khao Soi or are interested in trying it for the first time then I recommend you stop by HOMES and order it since it’s on their new menu. This is one of those dishes that will warm up your mind, body and soul!

The best mozzarella sticks in Ann Arbor?! I’m not cheese-pulling your leg when I say bar is now open and offering delicious food all in a newly remodeled space that is one of the best event venues in Ann Arbor! My college friends visited this weekend and couldn’t believe their eyes! If you’re not familiar, The Circ Bar is in the space that used to be Circus, which was under different ownership, didn’t offer food and didn’t look anything like it looks now. On Friday I had the chance to try some of their menu items and was very impressed. Will be posting more of their menu soon but check out my story to see more now! And yes, their cheese sticks are amazing! They hand-pull and bread the mozzarella in house and make all their dipping sauces in house too. These are the real deal and you’ll love them if you love mozzarella sticks!

The chicken and were on point today! Fuku is a concept, and you can get this chicken sandwich and tenders from the Fuku stand outside of the entrance of section 11. I’m also glad I finally got to meet who gave me a tour of the food being curated by . Just another reason why it’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine!

You can get this Key Lime Pie Milkshake, Brûlée’d Banana Sundae and Roasted Sweet Potato Sundae from ! This was my first time in, and I was very impressed to say the least. From the ownership and staff, to the love they put into every single thing they serve, Go Ice Cream is one of those spots that is a must-visit destination for anyone in the area. Everything is made in house, from scratch, and if you ask them how they make their ice cream you’ll find out that they’ve got it down to a science! It’s hard to say which one was my favorite...but it might have been the sweet potato ice cream! I’ve never had anything like the creations I tried at Go Ice Cream and there were a lot of other things on their menu that I’ll be going back to try soon.
