This morning we went to the Hyvee gas station bright and early over off Oralabor right next to the actual Hyvee. We needed ice for the Ankeny Farmers Market. Well, they were locked up but the ice chest were open and we had already grabbed the bags of ice as we didn’t realize the store was locked due to the tornado warning. A gentleman showed up as I was standing out in the rain as he also wanted in. I explained doors were locked and we needed to get going soon and he said he’d cover the ice!!! I explained it’s ok we’d come back and pay if they didn’t open soon (how nice of him)!

Shorty after, the employees walked in and unlocked the doors. I immediately grabbed something to drink and so did Bob and in the meantime the gentleman grabbed his food and paid for our ice anyway and left!

Sir!!! Whoever you are, thank you and please let us treat you to some coffee or something as that was super gracious of you this morning. Being kind is a rarity in today’s world anymore 💕☕️
