ISU Multicultural Business Network

Our goal is to inform, prepare and expose opportunities to multicultural students within the College of Business.

MBN creates networking opportunities for students within the College of Business. MBN have bi-monthly meetings where different companies come and present. Each company discusses what they look for in a potential internee/full time employee, gives insight into their company, and informs the students of employment/internship opportunities. This is a very good opportunity for young business students

to make a connection with representatives from different companies. Regular Multicultural Business Network semesters generally include employer networking visits, volunteer opportunities, social events, and career workshops.

Hello club members! This week we will be meeting with the Iowa Department of Revenue. We are especially excited to have our old MBN president, Vianka Damas, presenting for the company! Make sure to stop by in Gerdin 0119 this Thursday at 6 and learn about what opportunities the company has to offer! We will be providing free Chik-fil-a as well. Everyone is welcome to join!

Hello everyone! This week we are hosting our second social for the semester! We will have switch games along with board/card games set up in our meeting room. It will be a great time to de-stress and have a good time with friends! We will also be providing free pizza pit along with other snacks! Come join us this Thursday at 6pm in Gerdin 0119!!

We are very excited to be joined by Workiva, who will gives us advice on job searching, building your resume, interview skills, and more! We will be meeting this Thursday 6:00pm in Gerdin 0119. Special thanks to Principal for coming last week! We learned great techniques for negotiating wages/benefits during a job offer. One tip we learned during the meeting was to always ask for the job offer in writing so you are able to effectively look over all the information before accepting the job offer! Thank you to everyone who attended!
