Thank you Jesus for this team, this business, and this life. ❤️

Before Fruity Bowls, I spent three years working in church ministry. I even earned my master’s degree in Leadership & Innovation through Luther Seminary.

And honestly… I loved so much about it. But working behind the scenes in church ministry also exposed me to a lot of the toxicity, corruption, and hurt that can exist within church systems. It challenged me in ways I never expected. I began to realize that sometimes the place we think we are “supposed” to serve God isn’t always where we can serve Him best.

I started to wonder if maybe my greater impact would happen outside the walls of the church.

Today, I view Fruity Bowls as one of the most meaningful ministries of my life. 🤍

I get to mentor and pour into young women as they discover who they are and who they want to become. I get to create a workplace rooted in joy, love, kindness, and the belief that people deserve to be valued. I get to serve people in my community and create connection with strangers who walk up to our window.

And I also believe that faith calls us to stand up for justice and righteousness. Sometimes that means speaking openly about things that are uncomfortable. Sometimes that means sharing our stories. Sometimes that means refusing to stay silent when silence protects the wrong things.

Although I no longer work inside the church walls, my faith hasn’t disappeared from my life. If anything, I’ve found a way to live it more openly, honestly, and authentically.

I may not be working in a church anymore, but I still believe I am called to serve. And maybe ministry was never meant to be confined to a building anyway. 🫶

Sometimes ministry looks like a sermon and sitting in a pew… And sometimes… it looks like an açaí bowl, a listening ear, a hard conversation, a workplace where young women are reminded of their worth, and the courage to speak up for what is right. 🍓✨

Just a business owner being raised by her teenage employees…

Fall is actually my favorite because with school starting we shift to having only two of us in the truck vs. three. It leaves for a lot… and I mean a LOT of one on one time with the girls who are left. We make videos, have super deep talks, do homework/check emails, and laugh a lot together. It’s the best.
