We're rolling right into September and went all in on fall flavors this week. Caramel apple is featured in two spots, and don't fear, Pumpkin will have its time, just not too early in the season.

Donut of the Week: Salted Caramel Apple
A cake donut dipped in caramel glaze, topped with a swirl of vanilla buttercream and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Soups, Tuesday through Saturday
Tuesday: Beef & vegetable, and Italian sub soup
Wednesday: Stuffed pepper, and beef & vegetable
Thursday: Broccoli cheddar, and stuffed pepper
Friday: Chicken & rice, and broccoli cheddar
Saturday: Chicken corn chowder, and chicken & rice

Donut of the week runs through Saturday. Stop in before the soup schedule resets Monday.

As students of all ages return to classes this week, our attention starts to turn toward fall, and you can find the first signs of fall flavors in our weekly lineup.

🍩 Donut of the Week: Dulce de Leche - a yeast donut filled with dulce de leche cream and dusted with powdered sugar. No glaze, no toppings, it doesn't need them.

🍋 Cake of the Month: Blueberry Lemon Cake - lemon cake with blueberry filling and lemon buttercream, topped with fresh blueberries and lemon zest. Last week to get it before September's Caramel Apple takes over.

Cool, crunchy, and packed with flavor. Our new chicken wrap has grilled chicken, cucumber, red onion, lettuce, tomato and feta, all pulled together with a dill yogurt spread and rolled up in a soft tortilla. It’s light enough for a hot day but filling enough to get you through the afternoon. Come grab one for lunch this week.

As a small town bakery, we end up part of our customers’ lives in a lot of ways. Birthdays and anniversaries, wedding cakes, new babies, graduation parties. But it also means we’re part of the full range of it, and that includes losing regulars who had become part of our own weekly routine.
This last week was one of those weeks. It brings mixed emotions, and it’s a reminder of what a distinct pleasure and honor it is to be part of a community like this one.

We're looking for someone who sees a story everywhere they go -- and knows how to tell it on camera.

Our team is hiring a part-time Social Media Content Creator to support a portfolio of small businesses and organizations in downtown Albion. Retail, food service, manufacturing, nonprofits -- you'd work across all of it, capturing real moments and turning them into content that actually performs.

This isn't a desk job. You'd be out in the community, phone in hand, building something from the ground up.
