😭💛 WELL… LOOK WHAT Y’ALL DID. WE MADE THE NORTHERN EXPRESS!

We are beyond grateful to have our story featured in Northern Express in an amazing interview called “A Taste of Southern Hospitality.”

And reading it back honestly got us a little emotional.

From leaving the South with $20, a Mini Cooper and a whole lot of faith, to eventually finding our home right here in Northern Michigan… what a wild, beautiful road God has taken us down.

But one of our FAVORITE parts of this entire story is YOU.

Wolverine and the surrounding communities didn’t just welcome The Crooked Biscuit.

Y’ALL GAVE US A BIG OL’ MICHIGAN HUG. 💛

You came through our doors.
You tried food you’d never heard of. 😂
You told your friends.
You shared our posts.
You drove from HOURS away.
You supported our fundraisers.
You laughed with us.
You became part of our story.

And we will never, ever take that for granted.

A HUGE thank you to Sara Bagley and Northern Express for sitting down with us and telling our crazy little story so beautifully. We greatly appreciate the opportunity and the love shown to our little restaurant in Wolverine.

We started with biscuits and seasonings… and somehow ended up with a restaurant full of heart, soul, butter, laughter and some of the BEST people we could ever ask for.

Apparently God had a bigger recipe. ❤️

And Wolverine… thank you for giving us a place at your table.

We love this community more than biscuits appreciate butter, and THAT is saying something. 😂

Because apparently y’all heard “Raise the Roof for the Wolverine Library” and said:

“BET.” 😂📚

💰 $1,368.58!!! 💰

EXCUSE ME?!?!

We were hoping to raise some money.
Y’all apparently were trying to PUT SHINGLES ON THE MOON. 😂😂

Seriously, Wolverine… YOU SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT.

You sang. 🎤
You donated. 💵
You laughed.
You supported.
Some of y’all sang AND donated, which honestly feels like paying restitution for what happened to those songs. 🤣🎤

THAT is community. ❤️

We are absolutely blown away, ridiculously grateful, and so proud to be part of this wonderfully wild little place.

🚨 Y’ALL… CHEFFERY IS 40 YEARS OLD. 🚨

FORTY. 4️⃣0️⃣.
Officially an OLD FART. 😂🎂

And apparently turning 40 has done absolutely NOTHING to calm this man down. If anything, he has officially become “The Mississippi Squirrel Revival” level BERSERK. 🐿️🤣

If you know the Ray Stevens song, YOU KNOW. 😂
If you don’t… just come spend five minutes with Cheffery. Same basic experience. 🤣

We’re working 9:30 to 6 today.

Apparently I missed the memo about that whole 9 to 5 situation. But it is what it is, baby. I stay open for Y’ALL! 😂

So come see us because WE GOT THE GOODIES! And today, we’re dancing our way through the day with plenty of Dolly playing. 💃🎶

There’s something pretty special about music that keeps making people smile, sing, dance, and remember the good things. So today we’re celebrating Dolly Parton, her music, and all the joy she’s given folks through the years. ❤️

🎉 HELP ME WISH JEFF, a.k.a. CHEFFERY, THE BIGGEST HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY!!! 🎉

And listen… we are NOT easing into 40 quietly. 😂

We are celebrating this man LIVE at the Travis Tritt concert in Petoskey, with headliner Lee Fayssoux !! 🎶🤠 And BABY, WHAT A BLAST WE ARE HAVING!!

40 years old, live music, an incredible night, and making memories together. I’d say we’re doing this birthday thing RIGHT!
