Our society is becoming more aware of the importance of health in our lives and Pono Plates wants to be a vital part of this movement. It is our mission to show our local community that healthy meals can be tasty and support the sustainability of our ‘aina. Our menu selections cater to customers who are concerned about their health. We cater to those who are diabetic, heart conscious, gluten free, and ones who want to eat a high protein low carb diet. Our foods can take you on a delicious roller coaster ride that will thrill you!

To our valued customers,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you, in helping to make “Pono Plates” the success it is today.
When we first had the vision to open the restaurant, our primary goal was to try to help people to eat healthier, and live healthier. Our means in doing so, was based on educating, using the freshest products possible, creating a menu that was healthy and taste good, and a customer service spirit of excellence.
Since the day we opened our doors, we have had countless testimonies of those who have seen a change in their health, as well as their spirit. A vast majority have expressed how they just enjoy the taste of the food, and the great customers service.
It was a huge risk for us in the beginning, being that this was a fairly new concept. As well as the rail construction starting up nearby, which would directly affect our marketing and traffic flow.
Although, God was very faithful, and He surely provided. He not just provided, but he allowed us to be able to call our customers family. We have had the privilege to come to know many of our customers not only by name, but really who they are. For that reason alone, I measure “Pono Plates” as a successful endeavor.
With that said, it is with a saddened, but grateful heart. Due to personal and unforeseen reasons, May 26, 2016, will be our last day of business. With such a success, we know that “Pono Plates” will not be completely done. I know that God has a plan for us in the future. Although, for now, we do need to focus on what’s ahead of us.
We are very humbled and grateful, that you have allowed us to share our love for food and people, with each and every one of you. We hope that you will continue to eat and live “Pono”, and to “Pono Forward” every chance you can.
