Congratulations to Bill S!

Little Flat Henry took a trip that was a little different this month. He accompanied Bill to Piedmont Hospital for his kidney transplant. Bill says, "Piedmont Hospital is near and dear to mine and Henry's heart as he had his liver transplant there. The nurses and doctors here have been wonderful. I can't wait to get out so I can enjoy some of Henry's delicious Cajun recipes. Yeah Baby!"

We're so happy your transplant was a success, Bill. We wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you soon in the restaurant!

Meet Dewey!
Part of what makes coming to Henry’s a great experience is the hardworking staff behind the scenes. As a way to say thanks, we like to recognize a member of the team by highlighting them individually. We continue this month with Dewey.

As part of our family, Dewey has worked at Henry’s for nearly 3 years! He feels like the little brother around the restaurant. He has worked his way up from busser to host to server. Dewey says, “My best friend Jace worked at Henry’s and I hired on shortly after him. We have worked together ever since and have brought in our other best friend, Trevor. I love how Henry’s brings together small friend groups and turns us into one big family."

"My favorite dish is the seafood scampi pasta. The mix of the butter/wine sauce combined with penne and shrimp has a burst of flavor in every bite. It has been my go-to every time I eat here."

"My favorite memory at Henry’s has to be meeting my girlfriend, Indy. We have been together for a year now and we both work at Henry’s. After working together for a while, I finally got the courage to ask her out and it’s still paying off."

"My favorite thing chef says to me personally is the nickname he gave me, 'Dewdrop’. There are a lot of stories behind why I received this nickname, and the stories continue to build every day.😊”

Even though crawfish season has ended, Wednesday nights will still be hoppin’ around here...our shrimp boils start this week (June 5th)!!

Every Wednesday this summer beginning at 5 PM, we’ll be serving our peel-and-eat shrimp with corn, red potatoes, and spicy andouille sausage.

Our Guests are Family Too!

-There are friends, there is family, and then there are friends that become family.

Our May ‘Henry’s is Family’ campaign spotlights great friends to Henry’s Louisiana Grill. The Arnold family have been dear friends since our arrival in Acworth. Drew & Susan and David & Annette along with the whole Arnold family hold a special place in our hearts.
Drew explains, “We met the Chandlers when they bought our family home in the mid 1990’s. We became not only neighbors, but close friends. Henry is like a fifth brother to all of us.

While getting to know the Chandlers, Henry always had something cooking for everyone. He clearly loved to cook and with his talent we urged him to open a restaurant close to home. Henry began working on his unique menu ideas and attending festivals with David, Raoul Newman and me to test people’s reactions to his recipes. When the opportunity presented itself downtown, we all encouraged Henry and Claudia to open their own restaurant here.
Henry and Claudia, our wives Annette and Susan along with many neighbors and friends spent weeks cleaning and painting to get Henry’s ready to open. Finally, on a hot August night, we were all there to support the soft opening and the air conditioning went out that first night. What a way to start!

Since then, pretty much all of our children have worked at the restaurant at one time or another. We still stay ‘active’ on the payroll, working occasional special events. David performs at the Bayou Brunch and other special events throughout the year.

Henry and the restaurant are woven into the fabric of our lives. Now, it’s the neighborhood hangout almost every night and 4 p.m. is always a good time for tea. Anytime is a good time for a bite.
Henry’s is home.”

We would like to congratulate our Kitchen Manager, Arthur Livas, on 10 years of service with Henry’s! Arthur joined our staff as a Grill Cook for four years then worked his way up to Assistant Kitchen Manager. Arthur has served as our Senior Kitchen Manager for the past five years. We asked Arthur what brought him to Henry’s.

“I was in the restaurant eating with my family and was chatting with Chef Henry. I let him know that I am from New Orleans and love Louisiana cuisine. He asked me if I would come and work for him. I accepted and here I am, 10 years later. I love that we are closed on Sundays. Chef Henry wants us to put God and family first and I really respect that. My favorite phrase Henry says is, 'God bless Henry’s and the New Orleans Saints!'. Although we have our challenging days, I’m blessed to call Henry’s my home!”

Congratulations to Arthur as he celebrates this significant anniversary of his employment at Henry’s. He is a valued member of our team and his continued contributions are vital for Henry’s to continue to be successful!
