Operating as usual

Using a caterer is your best bet for large events. The stress of cooking and planning will be far less, and the variety of options available will almost certainly let you choose menus to meet whatever needs may arise among your guests.

When serving food to your guests, it’s important that the display looks stylistic and enticing. Hiring a team of caterers to organize your menu and prepare the food is a great way to impress your guests and ensure that they walk away happy.

Need a location for your next large-scale event? Why not choose a location with not only the space you need, but with catering available? It is the most convenient way to go, and your guests will be blown away.

Feasting as one is an old tradition that we still like to carry out today. Banquet dinners are practically as old as time, with banquets being had as far back as the days of Ancient Rome.

You may think fresh flower centerpieces are absolutely essential for a festive and elegant dinner gathering, but the practice of decorating tables with flowers is relatively recent, historically speaking. It dates to the mid-1800s.

Ancient Romans were the big party animals with some of their banquets being memorable enough to make their mark on history. Nero hosted huge parties, serving treats such as hares adorned with wings to represent Pegasus and helmet-wearing boiled calf. Quite the theme.

When having an event catered, it’s a good idea to anticipate any special needs. Find out if any of your guests have food allergies, religious requirements, or dietary restrictions. Caterers can always work with you to accommodate these needs.

Do you have a theme for your banquet? Finding a common chord to play through all the elements of your event (for example, a Hawaiian theme for a summertime event) will help you put on a production that’s truly unforgettable. There are a multitude of options for your food menu to match whatever theme you decide on.

Espresso bars are popular and a good accessory to dessert at just about any event. These bars provide a good jolt towards the end of the night as your event winds down and your guests start tiring.

Most good wedding banquets are remembered for the bride and groom’s first dance, and the wedding of Paul McCartney to Heather Mills is no exception. Not all newly wed brides have their own song written for her, which was the case with then-surviving ex-Beatles Paul, Ringo, and George singing “Heather.”

When planning the food and beverage for any event, one of the factors that should be considered is your guest profile, to provide them with either a familiar or a unique menu. Consider the location where your guests reside, and the frequency your guests attend similar events, for example.

Sometimes you have to indulge yourself, and a banquet is the perfect time for that. Just don’t overdo it like King George IV when he was Lord Regent. In one of his famous feasts, then Lord Regent George invited famed chef Marie-Antoine Carême to cook 127 different dishes to serve.

You may think special occasion table manners are a bit daunting, but being on you best behavior "at table" wasn't always the norm. In fact, Louis XIII, King of France, was so turned off by people using their knives as toothpicks that he banned bladed cutlery during state occasions.

What are you doing to do about the food? That is a common question when planning any sort of event, and a caterer can help you provide the answer. From menu planning to cooking and presenting the meal, caterers do it all.

The comments made here by owner Lisa Mastrangelo are horrifying. I live in Abington and I will never give them any business.
