Even though the Shoppes at Riverside had a last minute change telling us we could stay open, we can’t. Our main refrigerator is being used to keep milk cold by a local nonprofit feeding the elderly. So for the next 14 days we’ll keep you informed. As best we can as we comply with...well everything.

It is with a heavy heart I must relay the news, California Attraction Theaters has decided to close the Shoppes at Riverside, on March 25th, in reaction to this outbreak. This will most likely bankrupt us. We did not give up. We did not surrender. We were stopped by forces outside our control. We appreciate the patronage and friendships we have made. We will stay open to smoke our inventory until we run out. Stop by, say hi, grab a drink and one (or more) of your favorites.

Christmas truce 1914
In the week leading up to the 25th, French, German, and British soldiers crossed trenches to exchange seasonal greetings and talk. In some areas, men from both sides ventured into no man's land on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to mingle and exchange food and souvenirs. There were joint burial ceremonies and prisoner swaps, while several meetings ended in carol-singing. Men played games of football with one another, creating one of the most memorable images of the truce.
